Halo - Your Personal Budget and Bills Tracker
Take control of your money, all in one place. Halo gives you a clear, real-time picture of your net worth, from your bank accounts and investments to your loans and credit cards.
What you can track:
AUTOMATIC EXPENSE LOGGING WITH APPLE PAY — NEW! Pay with your iPhone and Halo writes the expense down for you: amount, merchant, and card, logged the moment you tap. A guided two-minute setup gets you started, each card links just once, and every payment after that is recorded automatically — to your credit card, debit card, or e-wallet.
ASSETS AND SAVINGS - Add all your bank accounts and customize how they look with logos and colors. Watch your net worth grow day by day with automatic snapshots, a balance trend chart, and a live change indicator that updates every time you open the app. Track your savings goals with Halo rings or view them as a to-do list.
INVESTMENTS - Connect your stock portfolio and see real-time prices from US markets and crypto. You can add stocks outside of the US and edit prices manually. Track your all-time gain/loss, today's movement, and your full position history. Share your progress with beautiful portfolio cards!
EXPENSES - Log personal expenses by category and see exactly where your money goes each month. Pay from a bank account or charge to a credit card and your balances update automatically. Put budget caps on each category and see if you still have room to spend. A calendar view shows your daily spending plus money in and out of your accounts — filter by inflow, outflow, or both.
BILLS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS - Set up recurring bills with flexible schedules and optional end dates. Get alerts when something is overdue or coming due soon, and mark bills as paid directly from any account or credit card with a single tap. Push notifications remind you a week ahead, the day before, and on the day itself if a bill is not yet paid.
TRIP & GROUP EXPENSES - Planning a trip? Create a trip to group your personal expenses and bill splits together. Set the trip's currency and expenses logged during the trip — including Apple Pay payments — are recorded in that currency and organized under the trip automatically. See the full spend, who owes what, and share a clean summary card straight to your group chat. No more awkward "Who owes me again?" moments.
CREDIT CARDS & LOANS - Track credit card balances, utilization, and billing cycles alongside your loans and mortgages. Record payments that instantly reflect across your accounts and net worth.
More to offer:
A widget that does the talking - Glance at today's net worth change right from your home screen. The Halo widget updates every 30 minutes, and bills can be marked as paid straight from the widget — no need to open the app!
Log expenses, deposits, and bill payments by voice or with the Shortcuts app — without opening Halo.
Built for Southeast Asia and the world - PHP-first with support for USD, CAD, SGD, MYR, IDR, VND, HKD, JPY, KRW, EUR, GBP, AUD, AED, SAR, THB, TWD, KWD, NZD, BHD, CNY, OMR, QAR, and INR. Switch your base currency anytime and every number recalculates instantly.
Your data, backed up - Export a full backup of your financial data anytime and restore it on any device. Halo also checks your data's health automatically and can repair issues with one tap — keeping a full safety copy first.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Halo stores everything locally. No account required, no data uploaded to any server, no ads. Your finances are yours.
Halo is built for personal use. It is not a bank and does not connect to financial institutions.
Halo is designed for simplicity — just a clean tool to help you stay on top of your money.
Loved this app! (long review and suggestions ahead 😂)
MajesticKoalaBear
I just discovered this app on social media. I’ve been using two different apps to track my expenses and bills, but this app combines both features in one place! What I really like most is the UI and customization options. The app is simple, intuitive, and makes it easy to organize my financial accounts. I haven’t had the chance to try the Split and Travel features yet, but I can already see how useful they will be for trips with family and friends.A few suggestions that I hope you might consider in future updates:• It would be great to have a “semi-monthly” recurrence option for the 15th and 30th of each month. This is an important feature for me when it comes to bill tracking. Since I enjoy using the app so much, I worked around it by creating two separate monthly bills and tagging them accordingly.• In the Expenses tab, under the Transactions section, it would be helpful if the Calendar view could display the total amount spent each day, instead of only displaying the list of transactions for that date.• It would also be nice to see the total amount due in the Bills section. This would make it easier to plan ahead and set aside money for upcoming payments. To the developers: I know building and maintaining an app is not easy, so kudos to all of you! You’re creating an amazing app, and I truly appreciate all the hard work and effort you’ve put into it. I will look forward to your future updates! Thank you very much!

Best Budget app so far!!!

I’m one of those people who’s obsessed with budget and expense-tracking apps, and I’ve tried a lot of them over the years. Before switching to this app, I had been using another budgeting app for almost a year. What initially caught my attention here was the clean, modern UI, and the split transaction feature was a huge plus. I also really appreciate having a dedicated Investments tab since it makes tracking my finances much more organized.Overall, I’ve been enjoying the app, but I have one suggestion that I think would make it significantly better—especially for credit card users. It would be great to have separate settings for a credit card’s statement date and billing/payment due date. Right now, the app only lets me see the total outstanding balance. However, that’s different from the amount that’s actually included in my current statement. Because of this, it’s difficult to reconcile my credit card bill with the transactions I’ve recorded in the app.Ideally, the app should be able to calculate and display the statement balance for the current billing cycle based on the statement date, while still showing the overall card balance separately. This would make it much easier to verify that my credit card statement matches my records and know exactly how much I need to pay for the month, instead of feeling like I’m being asked to pay purchases that haven’t even been billed yet.Other than that, I’m really enjoying the app and I’m excited to see how it continues to improve!

Best budget tracker i’ve used so far
Amylie345
I’ve tried several budget tracking apps but I always ended up using my good old spreadsheets since I can customize it better. However, I found this app to be very easy to use and also responsive to my basic budget tracking needs, so I’ve been using this for almost a month now! There are features that I am yet to use (like splitting of expenses). Some notes that I am hoping to see in the future updates:- bills payment tracking - some of my bills are dynamic in a way that sometimes I don’t have anything due for that particular bill. So i hope that I can set the bill to 0 since archiving the bill would mean archiving everything, which I don’t want to do- recurring bills - i’m currently unable to set an annual bill for a future date. So that if i am to set a recurring bill which is due every November, I will have to set it in November instead of now (in June) because if I set it now, the tracker will tag it as due this month.- bills payment biannual option? I hope there’s an option for this hehe my workaround would probably to just input it twice, but then I’ll be back with my problem with the annual bills- Installments - I still haven’t figured out this yet since a lot of the fields aren’t editable once set, which is fine because it is suggested that I should just delete it, but I can’t find the option to do that.- i wish there’s a downloadable summary of cash ins and outs for a certain period? Like a csv? I’m sorry for the looong review but I really like the app and I want to keep on using it because it is very intuitive to use! Huge thanks to the developer/s, I can only imagine how hard it is to create and continuously improve an app. You guys are doing an amazing job.

Best finance tracker app I’ve ever used!
stefikim
I’ve been looking for a finance tracker that’s easy and quick to use on the go, has a clean interface that is simple, intuitive, and doesn’t look cluttered, and actually helps me keep track of all my expenses (and debts). I love that Halo app has all of that. I’ve been using the app for two months now and I only have the best experience!!Just a suggestion for the app that I would love to have:It would be really nice to have a collaboration feature in the “Splits” and “Trips”. It would be great if we could invite others into a shared group where everyone has access to track bills and balances, add their own personal or shared expenses, split costs equally or by custom amounts, and easily see who owes whom and who has already settled. I think this would make the feature much more useful for group trips, couples, or anyone sharing expenses.Overall, Halo has been an amazing app for tracking my finances without unnecessary complications. I genuinely appreciate all the hard work your team puts into building and improving it. Thank you for creating such a thoughtful app—I’ll definitely continue using it and recommending it to others!
