Threads used to feel fresh and promising, but right now it’s drowning in toxicity. The platform is full of insecure users hiding behind fake accounts, creating a breeding ground for drama and harassment. It’s disappointing to see adults picking fights with minors, and basic respect and common sense seem to be missing. Even genuine content creators like moms get bashed unfairly.If Threads wants to grow into a positive community, it needs to seriously clean up its act starting with stronger moderation and accountability. Also, please remove the voice message feature in comments. It only adds noise and makes moderation harder.Until then, it’s hard to recommend this app.

For those who need their acc back, then bring it back—mostly if it was a mistake. Like, they didn’t do it on purpose. They deserve to get their account back. It would be helpful for the people who are in the same situation like me. I don’t care if it’s easy to create a new account — I just want my accounts back, that’s all I want. Back then, I didn’t care at all — because I thought that is it just suspended for 3 days, and when a few hours had passed, I found out that it was already disabled, that’s when my smile fade away when I found out that all my accounts got disabled by a mistake, and yeah—I made a mistake, mistake that I didn’t know that it was flagged for nudity, because I thought it was a meme. I didn’t check the sticker carefully but when my accounts got already disabled — I looked at the sticker and that’s when I found out that it was a people/person sexualizing a kid. I feel bad, because he/she is just a kid. I know it’s a bad mistake, but you should think. I am gonna ask you a question, why do you disable our acc by a mistake? When there are many people that are racist in your app, especially rpw users at Philippines, but you don’t disable them. I’m from Philippines and I know that, I already ran into a few people who are racist—of course I would talk with them, because why wouldn’t I defend myself. Please fix that, I’ve got a lot of friends there, and I apologize for what I did, I already learned my lesson. We want my accounts back, that’s all we wanted.

I really enjoy using and engaging with the Threads App. In my little corner of the internet, my interactions has managed to curate the interesting things I’d like to see that I haven’t yet (the app’s recommendations are on point). Unlike Instagram, I really think it deserves its own UI for the iPad, similar to how X and Rednote has a dedicated UI for different devices, I think Threads’ strength is in how text and image can be “threaded” together— even layered when reposted. It deserves to have the freedom that instagram in its neat simplicity does not wander into. Hope we get something for the iPad soon! Thank you for the great work!

It contains years of personal memories, conversations, photos, and connections that I don’t want to lose.
