There’s a lot you can do on GitHub that doesn’t require a complex development environment – like sharing feedback on a design discussion, or reviewing a few lines of code. GitHub for iOS lets you move work forward wherever you are. Stay in touch with your team, triage issues, and even merge, right from the app. We’re making these tasks easy for you to perform, no matter where you work, with a beautifully native experience.
You can use GitHub for iOS to:
• Browse your latest notifications
• Read, react, and reply to Issues and Pull Requests
• Review and merge Pull Requests
• Organize Issues with labels, assignees, projects, and more
• Browse your files and code
• Discover new and trending repositories

I’m extremely happy that this finally exists. Hope there are some plans for expanding the functionality, adding notifications, etc - I would gladly do 90% of my conversations via the app instead of email. Also, I hope dark theme will come to GitHub website soon, since it’s already in the app 😉
Great app with just one load annoyance
Twixes
Love the GitHub app for checking on the status of things and commenting on the go. The only thing that's annoying is every time I open the Pull Requests view from "My Work", I always see stale results from the last time I viewed the screen – there's no auto loading.
No way to turn on notifications
wojciech_danilo
I love the app exists. The most important purpose of such an app for me is to watch notifications on the go and be able to easily keep my inbox at 0 new notifications. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t allow to send notifications to my iPhone (12). In the app I can browse the notifications tab but they never pop up when the app is closed. Of course, the app is allowed to send notifications in the iPhone settings (I’m writing this in case this is a bug). I’ll be very thankful for fixing it / slowing it.
Missing many features
allegroNieLokalne
Comments in PRs are not visible, many things visible in the web version are not available here. Not sure what is the purpose of this app, if I can’t be as productive on a tablet as I am on a desktop.
What's new
• Sending a message to a busy Copilot session displays "Queued" to indicate the message is received and will be picked up when the agent is ready.
• Stopping a Copilot session is indicated in the session timeline.
Bug fixes
• Fixed an issue where tapping "Search for people" in the @mention autocomplete didn't open the user search modal.
• Fixed an issue where the Contribute button was missing from the branch picker on iOS 26.
• Fixed a bug where searching discussions you're involved in returned no results.
• Resolved various memory leaks throughout the app for improved performance and stability.
