The HWReader device is designed to work with sub-meters in homes or shared residential units, and is not intended for use with utility company main meters.
The HWReader device accurately measures the sub-meter's electricity consumption, and the application uses these readings to calculate your electricity usage and the amount of your bill based on the main electricity bill.
You can also monitor your electricity consumption in real time from anywhere, even while you are away from home.
The current version of HWReader supports calculating electricity bills for up to two residential units (or homes) sharing a single main electricity bill, provided that one of the units is equipped with a sub-meter using the HWReader device, while accurately calculating the electricity consumption and cost for each unit.
We are continuously developing HWReader and adding new features to improve the user experience and support more use cases in future releases.
