Tawakkalna Emergency app is the official app in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for managing emergency cases and community protection. It has played a significant role in containing the spread of COVID-19 and was developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). At the beginning of Tawakkalna launch, it aimed to contribute to the management of relief efforts by electronically granting permits during the “Curfew Period” for both government & private-sector workers as well as individuals. This in turn helped in limiting the spread of Covid-19 virus in the Kingdom. During the “Return with Caution” period, Tawakkalna App launched several important new services that contribute to achieving a safe return, most notably clarifying the health status of its users through colored codes with the highest levels of security and privacy.

Over all the best app but consumes battery

This app is very user friendly, simple tasks, simple design making it the best for its services.Only problem is the battery consumption, it drains due to data and accurate location activate every now and then maybe more I don’t know. But I hope there is a way to reduce it since some have deleted it and use the website instead.Appreciating your usual great efforts.

Location privacy and offline suppprt

The app developers has no respect for the privacy of all iqama holders. They require you to make your location setting to be set on always so that they can track you at all times. They even went so far to make the app completely unusable if you turn your location setting from always to the other options. This is a privacy breach and hopefully they would change this setting requirement.The second issue is the lack of offline support. This app cannot function without an internet connection and security guards don’t allow you to enter the building premises if you can’t show your ID. Offline support is desperately needed as most people don’t have cellular data on their phones and cannot show their ID to the security guards and the app developers expected everyone to have cellular data not regarding that it is expensive to have cellular data.I hope that the app developers would read my suggestion so that the user experience can be more comfortable and more intuitive.

Removal of Auto selection of Pfizer in approval of vaccination out side the kingdom of

Pfizer has been set as default vaccination for approving any inoculation taken from outside Saudi Arabia. If blank option is given to select from the multiple options, mistake of not selecting the correct vaccine could be avoided. Now Even if the proper vaccine is not selected, while the date of taken of both doses are entered, the window will automatically select Pfizer as default. Many are illiterate in Arabic to properly read the vaccine name and will not notice. If compulsion is there, Everyone will be careful to opt the proper vaccine Thank you

The application is amazing and you can find many governments services in this app. Even your legal residence permit and licenses are on this app. The only issue is that this app consumes a lot of battery even if you deactivate the background activity of the app but still it will consume more than 70% of the battery due to location and background activities. iPhone already has battery issues and with this app in your phone, you have to charge the phone twice a day.
