WhatsApp from Meta is a free messaging and calling app used by over 2 billion people across 180+ countries. It's super simple, reliable and private, making it perfect for staying in touch with your friends and family worldwide. WhatsApp works across mobile, tablet, and desktop even on slow connections, with no subscription fees*.
Private messaging and calls across the world
Your privacy is our priority. With end-to-end encryption, you can be sure that your personal messages and calls stay between you and who you send them to. And no one, not even WhatsApp, can read or listen to them.
Simple and secure connections, right away
All you need is your phone number - no usernames or logins needed. Easily view your contacts on WhatsApp and start messaging. And what's more, you can easily link your other devices, including iPads, for seamless connectivity.
High quality voice and video calls
Enjoy free, secure video and voice calls with up to 32 people for free. Your calls work across devices, even on slower connections, using your phone or tablet’s Internet service.
Group chats to keep you in contact
Stay close to friends and family through end-to-end encrypted group chats and calls. Share messages, photos, videos and documents across mobile, tablet, and desktop. You can also use call links and screen-sharing to make group calls and collaboration easy.
Stay connected in real time
You can share your location with those in your individual or group chats while using WhatsApp on your mobile phone. Or record a voice message for those moments when just text isn't good enough.
Share daily moments through Status
Share your everyday life with those who matter. With Status you can share text, photos, video, and GIF updates that disappear after 24 hours. You're always in control of who sees your status. Just choose who you want to share it with - all your contacts or selected ones. And bring your everyday to life.

I always think that if there is an option in whattsapp for translation it will be very useful. In my case all my colleagues are Arabic people so they send text messages, audio messages in whattsapp group in Arabic, where I copy the text messages and use translator app for translation but for audio I can’t do anything. So if there is an option for translating text messages and audio messages in whattsapp it will be very helpful.

Why another ‘forced’ update!? Please stick to your core reason for existing which is ‘communication’ .. forced updates for imaginary bugs just to make the interface look more and more like social media apps is just a sad downward spiral! This messaging platform no longer has the security or the ease of use that built it at the start and my phone’s processor and limited storage is not yours to freely gorge on with unnecessary additions! But it’s always fun reading the clueless 5 star reviews while I wait to download your ‘ever so critical’ update over data network charges, halting my urgent work communication just to have ‘colorful’ contacts and bubbles! Wow! Really impressive work you guys doing in that basement! 👍

Greetings. Please provide an option to block calls, whether for specific contacts or for all of them, as the call answering feature isn't working, and some people bother you by calling you while you're sleeping or working. Please also separate the call blocking feature from the chat blocking feature. This way, I can only receive messages, not calls. Many people are experiencing this issue, and it's very annoying, so please work on finding a quick solution. 🙋🏻♂️
Please make ipad app already

Will this app ever be available on iPads’ App Store? There is already a desktop version why not for iPad? There are third party apps that enable you to use it on iPad but it’s filled with ads or don’t seem safe. The other option would be to use iPad browser, but it doesn’t stay logged in and I have to link it with the phone every time I open WhatsApp from the iPad. It would be a great addition since a lot of students use ipad to study and exchange file on WhatsApp, it will get rid of the extra step of sending things from phone to ipad
We update the app regularly to fix bugs, optimize performance and improve the experience. Thanks for using WhatsApp!
