Unfriendly UI and inaccurate app regarding personal info

Used it once during the free trail and i am now automatically being charged the next subsequent month although i requested to terminate a number of times. My ‘free 1 month trial’ also became 2 months, where i am currently being charged on the second month. It is also odd that a simple ‘unsubscribe’ is not found in the app or website, unless ‘terminate account’ means this. Of which, i requested multiple times and have been rejected from terminating because my account is still valid(?).

New users who just want to try, please note you need to request to ‘terminate your account’ 4-5 days prior to the end of subscription, of which you actually need to account for their 3-5 business days to finish the transaction. I still don’t know how accurate this is since i haven’t been refunded.

As for users who plan to use it monthly, the cars are decent but their customer service may take awhile to answer you if you ever need their help. Don’t bother using their messaging system too because it doesn’t work. Please make sure you understand the risks of their accident policy before you use. It is best to ask someone who is an existing member more details before you start using.

Poor customer service

I thought that the app was easy to use, and the idea of sharing electric cars was environmentally friendly. However, to subscribe for the account, you would need to provide sensitive documents such as NRIC, driver’s license, home address, and bank details.

The danger comes when you are realise you are unable to delete the account. When this was reflected to the customer service personnel, he chuckled and asked if I could see a button on the top right hand corner, and then suggested I log out of the account. The way he conveyed his message was really condescending, and truthfully rather hurtful. After my conversation with him, I felt it was not helpful. I wish that customer service could be improved.

Poor UI

Firstly, i started using BlueSG since 2019 but not on regular basis. Since 1 year ago, whenever i open the app to search for available cars, it would show a map without any stations. I then learnt on social media and chat groups that i need to uninstall and reinstall this app for it to work properly.

Secondly, there is a risk of car and parking reservations being cancelled. Imagine having reserved a car and found out it got cancelled while walking to the carpark. There was once i drove for 30 minutes to the other end of the island and saw my parking reservation mysteriously disappeared when i was just a minute away from destination. I then had to frantically make another parking reservation which was located minutes away from where i originally planned to end my rental.

Finally, bugs from the recent (or not so recent from Dec 2023) upgrade screwed up big time. Cards were recognised by the car card reader but not the charging terminal, therefore making it challenging for users to end rental. If I wasn’t careful to check the app while walking out of the carpark, the rental time could have continued running despite having adhered to the end rental procedure of plugged in charger and locked car.
