I love that the entire app is redesigned because the previous version was very cumbersome. It was a key source of frustration for my experience with the Sonos system. Many of the issues I've had were resolved with the new design. However, not shipping the new app with an "alarm" or "scheduled play" feature is shocking. It's a primary feature of the system, allowing music to play automatically through my home. Please release an update to the feature asap because it has greatly degraded the UX of Sonos. Also I hope the team has reviewed the term "alarm", the feature has more potential than just waking people up.
Seriously no. Don’t buy Sonos
FairObjectiveReview
Just Google Sonos to see how badly they broke systems with their terrible updates and lies. Set ups that cost customers thousands of dollars are now useless because they can’t connect to Wifi. And if a Sonos system can’t connect to wifi, it doesn’t work. You heard right - AirPlay doesn’t work. Bluetooth doesn’t exist. The app doesn’t work. My own system cost $2300 to set up and is now useless except the soundbar via HDMI - and the surround sound speakers don’t work. All of it is speakers bought brand new within the past three years. Last month the company said they had fixed everything and all was fine. This was a lie. Forums are filled with furious clients. Sonos deserves to go bankrupt from its betrayal of loyal customers. You are genuinely 1000% better off buying a much cheaper Sony, Samsung, Bose, ANY OTHER BRAND home speaker system. It will cost much, much less. And at least you can listen via Bluetooth. To the company: shame on you and your senior managers. I have read the reports that your engineers warned you this would happen but you ignored them chasing new revenue and profits. All of you deserve to be made into HBR case studies so that your names live in infamy as the what-not-to-do executives.
S2 Apps is totally crap
Stormlazer
Zero star if I can. Like many have experienced here, the speakers are great but the S2 apps is a complete disaster! Don’t have such problems with the S1 apps. Have been working with Sonos support for almost 2 months to solve the problem where the S2 apps just didn’t work, can’t even launch the S2 apps. Every emails from the support is asking the customer to do a tons of trial and errors and submitting crash and diagnostics reports, however they don’t come back with the finding but continue to ask the customer to try many other things in the next email. Even send email to the CEO, is a complete waste of time, cos the support will reply instead. Seems like many are facing issues with the S2 apps but the support keeps denying there is no problem with the S2 apps. Since Sonos has been so lousy in your Apps development, I would suggest Sonos to provide a hardware remote controller so that your customer can still use the system!
Gone from bad to worse

Been supporter for Sonos for like 10 years. The app breakdown situation happened like 4 years or so ago really irritates me. I was just living with it because I could still play songs but important functions like basic alarm (which I use it as a option for auto play of a certain radio channel or music) has gone from bad to worse. I can’t even edit the alarm details or different Sonos set. I have 4Play1 and 1 beam.I hope they get their act together. And I remain open to change this review to 5 stars if they even get the alarm function right
Bug fixes and improved performance.
