Well first up, it’s a heavily team dependent game. Which is true for a lot of MOBAs, but in this case literally your “tower” won’t save you even at level 1 - it doesn’t even deal damage. So if your team doesn’t come to help, you’re dead, and the enemy will snowball. That’s fun for rounds where you’re the snowballing team, but don’t count on it. Second, there’s no real comeback mechanism. Once the enemy snowballs, there’s no way back. Getting a lucky kill off them won’t help, it won’t give you much firepower to come back. There’s no equipment to buy in game (another factor that makes the game a lot less strategic), so the only buff you get is your level. What this means is that the game is functionally decided by a few minutes in. If anyone on your team afks a few moments, you’re done. Only way to do anything is if somehow they make the horrible mistake of fighting zapdos, get to low hp, and y’all manage to gank them while they’re at it. Which requires coordination! Which brings me to my third point - there’s no way to chat apart from microphone. Microphones are great if you want some random shouting at you in Chinese, but otherwise a bit of a nuisance. There’s very limited “quick chat”, but you can’t type anything. Can’t type “Stop hitting zapdos, enemy coming”, can’t type “let’s gank them now go”, not even a “wait for me!” - instead, you have a mediocre set of pre-set communication chats like “retreat!” “Let’s keep the pressure up!” Which is so vague no one has ANY teamwork. Unless you’re playing this in a group of 5 friends sitting next to each other, I cannot recommend it. It will be an extremely frustrating and helpless experience.
