The school is built on a hill, and it takes me about 10 minutes just to get to my classroom. During peak hours, buses take a very long time to arrive and are often extremely packed and crowded. A 5 minute buffer time is not sufficient even Singapore Polytechnic provides a 10 minute buffer. The attendance system itself is also very POORLY designed. I am not absent, just late by 2 minutes, yet my attendance drops by 3%. Some lecturers DO NOT even bother to mark students as present and seem more concerned about getting paid than being fair.This is a large institution with sufficient budget, so I believe the school can do better. Please improve the app and attendance system, and ensure lecturers take attendance seriously, if you want students to GENUINELY enjoy coming to school.

For the past 2 weeks, my lecturer have been having issues marking attendance as 5 minutes before and after the class is supposed to start, the app refuses to work. No one is able to log into the app during those time and as a result majority of the class is late, despite the fact that we were in class on time. Rubbish attendance app.

So my attendance may not be good but it was still above 80 percent chance, and right now it’s after the common tests which means it’s the holidays, and I was still marked down and got a warning email about my attendance dropping before 75 percent, 12 Dec I was marked down for WISP , and MPT . And what’s more ridiculous is I had a Paper during that day ?like one step easier to what? To failing my classes?

Can’t even log in normally and have to hijack my biometrics and personal info of my phone just to log in???? breach of security just because of some convenience, attendance doesn’t even get marked especially when the school wifi has outrages, causing my attendance to go below the actual number, although it was not my fault. What was wrong with the old system?
