Calling all trainers! With Pokémon GO’s massive GO Beyond update, now’s the perfect time to jump back into the critter-collecting phenomenon. You’ll find new Pokémon, a higher level cap, and fresh features like these:

Meet Gen VI
Classic creatures hailing from Kalos are now discoverable in the wild. Along with the starter group—froggy Froakie, fiery Fennekin, and grass-type Chespin—you’ll find Fletchling, Litleo, Bunnelby, and other buddies.
Looking for more? Hatch Pokémon Eggs, collect candies, and evolve your crew to reveal the rest of the Kalos roster. Better stock up on Poké Balls!

Level up
Master trainers, rejoice: Pokémon GO’s long-standing level cap has increased to 50!
Been treading water at level 39 or lower? A recent adjustment that doles out much more XP for achievements, like catching Pokémon and making new Pokédex discoveries, should help you close the gap.
Once you reach level 40, you’ll unlock special Research tasks that challenge you to take down Team GO Rocket, earn medals, increase your friendship with other players online, and more.

Seasons’ greetings
With the game’s new Seasons feature, you’ll encounter different Pokémon depending on the time of year (and which hemisphere you call home). Some Mega-Evolved Pokémon will appear more frequently—or become more powerful—during Mega Raids, so track ’em down when they come around.
Battle bonuses
The GO Beyond update also enhances the competitive Battle League, which now syncs with each three-month season. There are now a whopping 24 Battle League ranks, opening up the field for more rewards, bigger bragging rights, and other sweet perks.
