Design update

Last update in design of the app makes using it just worser and even less convenient. Previous design was much better. The most annoying thing is that you can’t see the history while typing, you need to press the button. Another bad thing is that synonyms of the world are much bigger now so you can’t see many of then at a time — you need to scroll between them. Everything else is okay, but bugs and lugs still occur very often

Awful update

The interface has become inconvenient: there is no ability to quickly switch between photo / audio and classical translation. The entire display is occupied by two translation windows, which prevent you from switching to photo translation by pressing one button if you have already translated something in a classic text format. You need to make several useless taps on the screen so that the application understands that you no longer need the classic version, but you want a photo translation. It takes too much time and nerves. It was also a mistake to hide the query history somewhere far away, which again makes it inconvenient to use. Also, with the classic text translation of the word, there is an explanation with synonyms in the language from which the translation comes from, this is not bad, but if I am translating from this language to another, then give me many different translations in the language I am requesting a translation into, and not just synonyms in the original language.
This update is just awful. I have to find another app.

Problem with photo translation

There is a couple of problems with Ukrainian text recognition when the photos are taken which has to be fixed. This application does not recognize such Ukrainian alphabet letters as «є», «ї» and «ґ» anymore and also puts spaces before commas. There were no such issues before the streak of recent major interface redesign and improvement updates. It seems that this app uses algorithms for Russian language instead of Ukrainian because there are no such letters in Russian, even if the alphabets are pretty similar. Recognition of other languages such as Russian, English, German, Japanese works fine (tested). I don’t believe that so huge company like Google does not have testers who MUST try out the application before the each update arrives to find bugs that can greatly influence the app’s performance in a horrible way and who actually get paid for this. What a shame!
