I wan on twitter for over a decade, but one the algorithms took over, the experience really went downhill. I’ve been journaling on this app for a year now, and I have realized it’s just a much better fit. It’s feels like a space that’s actually meant for me

A disgusting experience

The app is very crude. I recorded a 30-minute video, clicked the "add" button, then I was thrown to a text box and no action was taken. I thought that the video was uploaded to the main page of the app, and that this text box was just to write my impressions in words. But I was wrong, and when I clicked the "done" button without writing anything in this text field, no video was uploaded to the main page of the application. There is no special sorting in the app. And this is the second time that something is not saved or deleted. The first text message I wrote in this application was also deleted because I accidentally uninstalled the application, and when I reinstalled it, there was nothing there. If it was an account, everything would have been saved to the cloud, but it was deleted. If only there was some kind of archiving function.That's why I don't recommend this app at all.

I really love the Journal app and the concept behind it. What I especially appreciate is how it brings photos, memories, everyday moments, and short reflections together in one place.I love the way the app can connect different parts of a moment — suggesting relevant photos and memories and asking thoughtful questions about the people involved, the experience, feelings, and emotions. It creates a very natural form of reflection that stays connected to real life rather than feeling like a formal journaling routine.I also really like the ability to create separate journals with their own names, colors, and icons. It makes the experience feel more personal and gives different parts of life their own space.The main thing I would love to see in future updates is more creative freedom when designing individual entries. For example, it would be wonderful to have more control over the layout of a page and more freedom to position photos, drawings, text, shapes, and other elements wherever they feel natural on the page. I would also love to see more possibilities for drawing and freely arranging visual elements.The foundation for this already exists, and it is really beautiful. I would simply love to see the existing functionality expanded so that Journal could become even more personal, visual, and creative.It could also be interesting to see more advanced drawing and creative tools in the future, or perhaps deeper integration with other Apple creative tools. But even simply expanding the current visual and layout capabilities would make a big difference.Thank you for creating Journal. I really appreciate the idea of preserving not just individual entries, but a whole collection of moments from everyday life that can be revisited later. I hope the app continues to evolve and gives users even more freedom to make their journals feel uniquely their own.

A good and useful app, as I’m not very fond of notebooks, this free diary is a lifesaver. However, I’ve encountered a couple of issues with the ‘Diary’ app:1. When I add a photo to my entry, it automatically gets fixed in size, and I can’t edit or move it up to show the top part of the photo or down.2. When I type something, hide the keyboard to review my entry, and then want to edit something, as soon as I tap on a word to edit, the keyboard pops up, and the entry scrolls back to the beginning of the text. This forces me to scroll down again to reach the word I want to edit, and it’s frustrating if the keyboard hides again during this process, as it can happen multiple times.3. I would like to have the option to customize the app’s theme, meaning a feature for personalizing the interface.I'd be very happy to see an improved version.Thank you
