Plan and host together: • Add cohosts so friends and family can join in on the fun, invite guests and share updates. • Sync events to Calendar automatically so you can easily keep track of what’s coming up. • Post messages in the event to keep everyone up to date on last-minute details. Invite and manage RSVPs: • Invite others with just a link using any messaging platform. • Guests can RSVP in the iPhone app or on the web from any device. • Build anticipation with the countdown widget on your Home Screen. Fuel the party with Music and relive it with Photos: • Add a collaborative playlist so guests get to hear their favourite songs at the party. • Include a Shared Album so everyone can add photos and relive all the best moments from the event. Requirements: • Apple Invites is available for all iPhone models with iOS 18 or later. • Ability to collaborate with Apple Music Playlists requires an Apple Music subscription. • Anyone can reply to invitations. Creation of invitations requires an iCloud+ subscription.

The app looks great and the idea behind it is strong, but right now it feels more complicated than it should be — which is likely why it isn’t becoming widely adopted.The main issue is access. To simply view an invitation, a user needs to have the app or sign in with an Apple ID. That’s an unnecessary barrier. A person should be able to open a link and immediately see all the details without any registration. Authentication should only be required at the RSVP stage.The second issue is Android support. A large number of people use Android, and the current experience for them is weak. There should be a полноценна web version where users can view invitations and respond without needing an Apple ID (for example, using a name and email).Another important point is guest identification. If a link is forwarded, it’s unclear who exactly confirmed attendance. There should be a simple mechanism — such as name + contact details or personalized invites.Also, guest list visibility is missing. There should be clear options: visible to everyone, visible only to confirmed attendees, or completely hidden. This matters a lot, as it can influence whether someone decides to attend.Links and integration with shared albums feel a bit confusing and not very intuitive. It would be much better to keep it simple: one link = one invitation, without unnecessary steps.Another major missing feature is file attachments. For example, tickets, PDFs, or other documents. It would be especially useful to allow sending individual files to specific guests within the same event.In short: the product is strong in design, but loses due to complexity and limitations. If you remove unnecessary barriers (app / Apple ID), simplify the UX, and add basic functionality (guest identification, attachments, proper web access), it has the potential to become much more widely used.Also, it would be great to properly adapt the app for iPad and provide a полноценний, удобный version for macOS. Right now, this feels like a missed opportunity, especially considering how natural event planning is on larger screens.Another point — I believe there is strong logic in making this app a default pre-installed app on iPhone. It fits much better into everyday use than some of the current default apps. For example, not everyone needs GarageBand, but almost everyone at some point needs a simple and effective way to invite people to something.This feels like a basic utility, not a niche feature — and positioning it as part of the default ecosystem could significantly increase adoption.
