Good basic meditation timer

I like the sound options. It's easy to set and to use. One additional option would be to add an ending sound that is different from the intermediate chimes. With that additional option, I would give this 5 stars.

I teach yoga to all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities and friends on the spectrum. I highly recommend this app for many things. While we use it for either Yoga or Meditation, it can also be used for writing and homework, calming in or after an anxious event, as a reward, timer, or even to go to sleep. It has interval options which you can choose by minute, and there are sounds which you can choose for that interval alert. There are about 8 lovely “songs” (hums, chants, flutes) you can choose or turn off entirely. Likewise, there are accent sounds which you can choose (birds, crickets, water, drums, bowls, etc) or turn off. Once you create your compilation, you go back to the main screen to choose the time you want your masterpiece to play. And it really is free!

I teach yoga to all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities and friends on the spectrum. I highly recommend this app for many things. While we use it for either Yoga or Meditation, it can also be used for writing and homework, calming in or after an anxious event, as a reward, timer, or even to go to sleep. It has interval options which you can choose by minute, and there are sounds which you can choose for that interval alert. There are about 8 lovely “songs” (hums, chants, flutes) you can choose or turn off entirely. Likewise, there are accent sounds which you can choose (birds, crickets, water, drums, bowls, etc) or turn off. This app has a lot of features and you don't need to buy anything! I tried other meditation timers and meditation apps and they all just give you a little sample for free but for any of the real features you have to pay. Not so with this app! There are a lot of different bell/bowl interval sounds to choose from, different ambient sound effects you can listen to and mix together, and also a lot of soothing music options (you can even choose songs from your own device!). And on top of all that it even tracks your meditation progress in a graph. If you meditate, you need this app.
