I dislike the commercials being redundant as like the posters. The app is good though. I like being able to how is made when I am able. I dislike the hyped up shows that are more like ancient aliens with that same monotone narrator always saying and if so could it be etc. They act like or sound what on earth could it be and no one has ever seen it or heard it. So sensationalistic. It’s a science channel not conspiracy channel. More science based educational shows would be great. The history channel at times can be just as bad with the stupid ancient aliens crap that has been proven false on several accounts but they still show it. How bout a show on the science of garbage can cleaning that would be a great show. I can already hear the same narrator saying this garbage can has never been seen by humans before for over a millions years and if what they find inside is what they think it is, this could be the biggest find in the history of mankind, break for eight minutes of commercials then, then repeat the first twelve mins of the show like you didn’t get it then they say so what could be inside. Yep you guessed it commercials again then repeat last 50 seconds of first break but with differing views then , If it’s garbage this could be a such a dramatic find it could rewrite history. Just sayin. Wish the shows would stop coming across like we are stupid. But all in a great app just had to vent on the type of shows.
This is what electronic media should be.

I grew up in the first generation of TV watchers. Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Victory at Sea, Bishop Sheen, The great comedians--Jack Benny, George Burns, Gracie Allen: a pretty good roundup for the Age 5-8 group. Trouble is, TV either stayed stuck at that developmental level or crawled forward into the unthinking presentation of adolescent and adult fantasy worlds in ways generally devoid of the realistic reflection that should accompany any adult enterprise. So we ended up with truly "fake news" about nonexistent ancient aliens (ignorance of technologies known in earlier times); heroic football players, whose strivings were turning their brains to mush; caricatures of the first peoples who preceded us in this land; with little attention paid to the brutal attack on the land and its species. We owed respect, pride of place, and earnest attempts to know and understand the people and the animals who were here before us: the buffalo, the passenger pigeon, the sea otter, the wolf, the whooping cranes, the California condor, the peregrine falcon--so many species we thoughtlessly plundered to sate our own vanities and enrich ourselves. We only started changing our perspective and learning respect and scientific humility when it was almost too late to save many of the species and peoples we had already damaged by our plundering attitudes. ScienceGo is a step in the right direction. It's not perfect. I didn't much enjoy the aerospace series, which came across to me as a thinly veiled infomercial for Boeing. In fact, all the armed services and a lot of civilians participated in the effort to salvage from the ashes of World War II and turn to good use the technologies that the Germans had been working on. Tell the whole story! Don't let the funders of programs serve as producers so they can glorify themselves!Ksshrink

I love the app and and definetly has potential! The only thing I seemed to have a problem with is when i cast a show to my chrome cast. When I click on a show as I’m connected to my chrome cast it opens the episode in landscape mode on the phone and I think it would nice if you could make a setup so when your phone is in portrait mode you can slide the slider to fast forward or rewind(not just in landscape mode). I also think it would be good if you could add something so that when you are watching a show while connected to chrome cast (or fire stick or Apple device) so you could easily browse shows and return to the episode fast instead of having to find your show again in the menu . Also ad removal would be nice . These are just some considerations I think would really help expand the app for easier accessibility thank you!!

I love the Science Channel and having access to it everywhere but there are two main things I want changed on the app. 1. I would pay for streaming without commercials! Sometimes it will play the same commercial 3 times in s row or the exact same commercials in the same order every commercial break. It’s annoying and why I only stream and don’t watch TV. Which brings me to...2. Disconnect from cable/satellite! The requirement of having a cable/satellite account to access the majority of shows and episodes is complete BS! I will be losing my ability to watch the science channel and any of its affiliate channels next month because I cannot convince my husband to allow me to keep a expensive TV package that he never watches for over $100 a month. I again would pay for this app, Discovery Channel, ID Discovery and Food Network streaming apps in place of a expensive TV package full of channels I don’t watch. **Move into the 21st century please!!** ~ Ashleigh (soon to be lost viewer)

Hi Ashleigh, right now, the only way to access all of our content is by subscribing to a provider we partner with. If you don’t have a cable/satellite subscription, or if your provider isn’t our partner, check the Unlocked Episode section of our app to see free content. However, the repetition of the ads definitely sounds like an error. We would like to look into this for you. Would you mind reaching out at the link below so we can investigate?https://sciencechannel.custhelp.com/app/ask
