Sound Blaster Connect lets you control your Creative product easily from your mobile device. Access your favorite music from different sources including microSD card and switch audio sources wirelessly. Depending on the product connected, you can also configure and personalize your audio settings, or record sound onto the microSD card. I have the Katana Pro Speaker for my desktop PC. A very expensive speaker at the time I purchased it several years ago. I love the speaker & the sound is amazing. I prefer it to headphones even when gaming. It is that good. However, this app CANNOT even see the speaker using bluetooth on my phone. I also have this app on my pc to control the speaker & that app ALSO CANNOT SEE THE SPEAKER AT ALL. I cannot make any changes to the speaker whatsoever because none of the apps for it can even acknowledge that I have a Soundblaster Katana Speaker. It cannot see the speaker when connected to my pc using USB nor when connected to my iphone using bluetooth. I’m frustrated to say the least. These apps are useless.UPDATE: instead of using this app, go download an app called “Creative” by creative labs. That app works flawlessly for my Soundblaster Katana V2 speaker. It is available for iOS and PC. I have both apps & have had zero issues. This app is useless, but that app works amazingly well.

First, the good news. The hardware - the speaker itself is fine.Now...the not so good. This application is well beneath the quality level I’d expect from Creative Labs. The problems are numerous.1. The app seems to lose connection to the device (speaker) frequently - despite never being more than 6’ from the phone. The iPhone will indicate Bluetooth is still connected, yet control functions through the app are unavailable.2. The hardware supports 128Gb USB flash, but when plugging the USB drive in, the app could not index the USB flash drives contents. As the FLASH drive is a exFAT formatted drive with a relatively simple file system, not sure what the problem was there.3. Control features like equalization, etc. were cludgy and not easy to find. Once found, they appeared greyed out, and only upon tapping into a specific section did that function “light up” and become accessible.I hate using terms like “garbage”, “trash”, and “junk” in a review - particularly of software, as those terms do not help the developers address the issues. I bought this speaker based upon the manufacturer’s description of the features rich application available for my iPhone that controls it. Creative Labs severely misrepresented this application. This app failed to meet my expectations in many ways, and is far beneath the standard Creative has set with their PC products - both hardware and software.

I needed this app to be a smarter remote control for my speaker as I have gradually moved away form other OS required to setup the sound bar and EQ it.The app is very roughy, connecting initially is confusing and interface is confusing. But it still does the job I set out to do (I don’t play music from my phone on the speaker), use it as a remote control.
