I have used iMPC and iMPC pro so, I figured why not give this a shot. First off The GUI overhaul is slick (nothing earth shattering but the simple tweaks really present well). GUI aside, not really sure it was worth the money I spent so far. The only content I previously purchase that works seamlessly are pro packs. All the other content I bought from AudioCopy and used with iMPC Pro doesn’t load seamlessly and the way you have to drag the sounds and manually edit the track name is counter intuitive on top of being counter productive and time consuming (the simple things that iMPC pro got right should have been brought over to iMPC pro 2 that a no brainer ). The alleged pro 2 soundpacks I was supposed to be able to get keep giving me errors when I try to download them. Not really sure how the audio units work but the fact that it’s not picking up the imini synth app is a huge drawback. The iMPC university at this point is totally garbage it been three days it’s still at 10% with everything else locked but I gotten two notices about new content. Can’t find it can’t get to it and the online docs are basically for iMPC pro. Looks like I suckered into paying to be a beta tester or maybe somebody saw that Christmas cash grab and released this early. Ultimately I am not impressed, it feels incomplete, rushed, and a little haphazardly thrown together. It never ceases to amaze me how a company will spend so much time trying to build customer loyalty and cultivate a culture but take a dump on those people when they create their next Software or hardware edition. It would have been nice if this had been a more seamless transition from pro to pro 2. The things that worked in iMPC pro should have been built upon and expand not discarded. If this were better thought out and executed some of the bugs and qwerks I mentioned could have easily overlooked
The Best Beat Making App
AKASUP ON ITUNES
iMPC Pro 2 has the best sound engine on iOS. I have tried all other apps that are comparable such as, BeatMaker 3, FruityLoops, and Maschine. The only app that has a sound engine as great as iMPC Pro 2 is Garbageband. However, Garageband’s work flow doesn’t come close to iMPC Pro for me. I sample and use a lot of outside apps for melodies I play myself. Try it. Load some drum into iMPC Pro 2 and the same drums in any other app. They won’t sound the same compared to iMPC Pro 2. It’s just crispier. It has the MPC punch to it. The only problem I have with it is the time stretching of samples they become glitchy and stutter when you stretch them and play in different pitches. Not cool at all. I still work around it by not stretching my samples. BeatMaker 3 has you guys beat in that category. Fix it. I read a comment about recording full songs vocal-wise? MPCs aren't made for that. It’s not a Daw. When has it ever been? That’s it. Buy it. One more thing. Getting files into the app is a breeze, and that’s thanks to Apple themselves. You can dump all the sounds you want into your app using files in iOS. iMPC Pro 2 has a folder!!!!!

well worth the money
ciiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrt
so i just purchased impcPro 2 last week for my ipad and i think it’s great except for a few minor things and this could just be me not fully understanding the program yet as i am still figuring things out but the most annoying thing is when i take the time to set up a drum kit on say, track 1. it works great and when i save it and return that drum kit is still there but if i build a drum kit for more than track 1, 2,3,4,5 etc. the kits that i built are never there when i return after a save, i get beats continuum as my default kits and it kills me cause then i have to go build them all over again but like i said except for track 1, it’s always there. am i doing something wrong? is this just not a feature? would be great if it was though and my only other things that would make this absolutely perfect are time stretching and being able to edit and manipulate my tracks right on the track screen. i can’t eliminate or add individual notes at all. again, am i just missing something? when you pair this with garage band , it’s an unfucking stoppable hip hop war machine!
iPad Pro 12” User HAS Immediate Disappointment
IamSeeR
Well...let me preface. I have been a long time user of both iMPC and iMPC Pro and have been excited about this upgrade for a while. I bought an iPad Pro 12” to up my game. I almost bought the original MPC cover that was made for the original iPad because I loved this app so much. I am thoroughly enjoying the apps that take advantage of the screen space on the iPad Pro 12”. It actually feels much better making music on the bigger surface. THIS VERSION OF THE APP UNFORTUNATELY DOES NOT. The most glaring problem for me is the size of the pads for iMPC are the same exact pixel space if they were on the smaller iPads with a lot of empty grey space surrounding them. PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE GOING TO FIX THIS - IF NOT, I want a refund. By the way, the pads on iMPC Pro 1 scale up to the full size of the area. How was this missed on version 2?I love you guys - If this is fixed, I’ll be able to give a proper review and feel like I can use this instrument. I’m really excited about the new features but I don’t want to even attempt playing the pads at that size. I got the iPad Pro for this reason. Heck, iMPC is one of the main reasons I upgraded my iPad. Otherwise, it feels completely unnatural to play in the smaller pads that just float in the middle of the big open grey area., Please fix so I can give you guys the review this app deserves.
