Helped me (a complete novice) diagnose the issue with my car. Appears to be a malfunction of the fan system which I can repair myself, rather than an actual failure of the battery. I was about to pay out my behind to have a new battery installed. If you’re considering a replacement of your hybrid battery I’d implore you to spend the $14 on this app + ~$20-40 on an OBDII reader. I used the recommended Veepeak BLE+ 4.0 Bluetooth model. Vastly cheaper than a new battery, and these tools will help me decide when it’s finally time to buy the bullet in the future. Hopefully not anytime soon!

I admit, I did not use this app for the first 200,000 miles that I drove my 2005 Prius. After that however it has been an indispensable tool to assist me in the maintenance and service required for the next 400,000 miles. I expect it will continue to work for me, my friends and family who now owns hybrids. As an essential tool, it does take a while to learn all of its features in and capabilities, there are many good videos in the help section, just a few clicks away from the main screen, where Jack, the developer, explains his motivation behind features and how to get the most from the free portion and why the paid version is such a good value to people maintain their own Prii.I’m still enjoying my 2005, now with over 630,000 miles and the new Lithium upgrade Jack used this app to help him make a reality for all of us driving our Prii many more miles than we ever thought they might go.

This app works great with the right adapter. Bad reviews are a result of not using the correct adapter. Go to the developer’s website to see recommended/junk adapters. The developer has the best customer service I have ever experienced. I have contacted him repeatedly with questions about installing my hybrid battery and he always responds within a few hours. I recently upgraded my hybrid battery and accidentally crimped of the wires (my fault). Developer sent me a shipping label that same day, repaired it upon receipt, and returned it with express shipping. Thank you, J.

Prius Reverse Beep

Just got my first Prius and immediately learned how incredibly annoying driving in reverse can be with a constant beep. Not a great way to start any day when you first get in the car. Quick Google search brought me to this app and the creator’s VERY detailed site. Purchased one of the Bluetooth OBD2 tools suggested on Priusapp[dot]com for iPhone (NEXAS NexLink). With a couple minutes of setup I was able to accomplish the goal of getting reverse to beep ONCE. Very grateful for this app and its creator! 2018 Prius Two and iPhone 13 Pro, if that helps anyone looking into this!

Quick Google search brought me to this app and the creator’s VERY detailed site. Purchased one of the Bluetooth OBD2 tools suggested on Priusapp[dot]com for iPhone (NEXAS NexLink). With a couple minutes of setup I was able to accomplish the goal of getting reverse to beep ONCE. Very grateful for this app and its creator! 2018 Prius Two and iPhone 13 Pro, if that helps anyone looking into this!
