This includes kids who have a tough time with tantrums, feelings of frustration, anxiety, or even a diagnosis like ADHD. Our program was developed by clinicians from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and is designed to create a fun and engaging way for kids to practice emotional regulation through play….and become Mightier! Players wear a heart rate monitor while they play, which allows them to see their emotions and connect with them directly. As they play, your child reacts to their heart rate. As their heart rates go up, the game gets harder to play and they practice how to bring their heart rate down (take a pause) in order to earn rewards in the games. Over time and with routine practice/play, this creates “Mightier moments” where your child breathes, pauses, or uses one of their practiced cool down strategies automatically when facing real world challenges. Mightier includes: A WORLD OF GAMES Over 25 games on the platform and 6 worlds to conquer, so your child will never get bored! THE GIZMO Your child’s visual representation of their heart rate. This will allow them to see their emotions and connect with them directly. Gizmo will also teach your child emotional management skills when they find themselves in extreme duress. LAVALINGS Collectable creatures that represent big emotions. These will help your child connect with their range of emotions in a fun, new way. PLUS…..for Parents ● An online hub to access a dashboard of your child’s progress ● Customer support from licensed clinicians ● Tools and resources to help navigate your Mightier parenting journey.

So good but a few things to change

Please read this developers! I use this a lot and it helps me calm down but i have to keep calming down because everytime i get just a smidge over the blue zone the red zone comes rushing down to meet the blue zone and i have to calm down all the time. I wish there was a good way to change your personal settings to be less sensitive. I know its supposed to learn you and change that way but i do mightier everyday and it never has changed! It just gets more sensitive the more i play! Other than that it works great and i would recommend it!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Mightier.My child signed up for what was advertised as a 14-day free trial of their emotional regulation app. Unfortunately, the trial was not canceled in time, and without any additional confirmation or clear secondary authorization, I was charged $350 and sent the full equipment package — which I did not want and did not knowingly agree to purchase.When I contacted customer service immediately to request a refund and return the equipment, I was told that their 90-day return policy only applies to customers who purchase the product outright at checkout — not to families whose free trial converts automatically into a full purchase if not canceled.This policy feels misleading and predatory. A “free trial” that converts into a $350 charge with equipment shipment — especially when initiated by a child — should come with clearer safeguards, confirmation steps, or at minimum the same return protections offered to direct purchasers.While the concept behind the program may be helpful for some families, I strongly encourage parents to read every detail carefully and understand that if you do not cancel the trial in time, you may be locked into a very expensive purchase with limited refund options.I hope the company reconsiders this policy and adds more transparent protections for families.

The Mightier app's game-like nature is initially appealing to children, but the shallow content quickly leads to disinterest. The parental customization features seem promising, yet they don't translate into a varied experience, with the game content appearing the same for all users. A significant flaw is that the heart rate band, crucial for the breathing exercises, can be taken off mid-game without consequence, defeating the purpose of the biofeedback. This gives the impression that the app is more for parents who want to feel good about the screen time their children are consuming than an effective therapeutic tool. It’s expensive per month as well, but the app doesn’t even seem to get updates with lots of areas coming soon that probably will never come… It’s scores a 10/10 as a concept, but a 3/10 for execution, unfortunately.

VERY lacking in everything

NOTE!! This app ONLY works if you’ve gone to their website and ordered their subscription/kit. If you don’t have this already, don’t download this game and expect to play it. It will not work. Now, about the app and system themselves. The app is decent but the games are lacking. My almost 9 year old with ADHD seems to like the games and finds the little map portion fun but they’re very limited in what you can do. Don’t expect an overly complicated game with this. It’s definitely designed to get your heart rate up and then teach you how to lower it. The app itself can be a little complicated, however and definitely NOT straightforward. You will need help from an adult if the child does not know how to read. The heart rate monitor (band you get when you order the subscription) is FAIRLY responsive to changes in heart rate but it’s not instant. Also, the included tablet they send you is absolute garbage. Does NOT sync the band no matter what I try, however, it works fine on my iPad and iPhone so it’s clearly a tablet issue. The tablet also lags horribly so if you get the subscription, I recommend using your phone or iPad. Which is something I DID NOT want to do. I wanted a designated tablet just for this app to be used as a designated space to use as a training tool for my child. Also, the arm band/heart rate monitor no longer shuts off. It’s just on forever and continues to blink until you put it on the charger. Which is frustrating, since you MUST have the charger on hand at all times, making this absolutely NOT portable. I realize this is more of an equipment issue and not this app itself, however, since you need the equipment to use the app, I feel they are synonymous. Overall, if you’re reading this and considering purchasing a subscription, try it for a month before you go full out and buy a year because if I continue having issues with both the equipment and software, I definitely will not be continuing my subscription.
