The ShangRing Circumcision app provides a unique interactive platform for providers worldwide to learn and master the fundamental techniques of male circumcision using the ShangRing. We provide teaching regarding preparation for and optimal techniques for performing ShangRing circumcision using both the flip and no-flip method. We also discuss common mistakes while performing the ShangRing circumcision, and normal and abnormal wound healing following the procedure. Photographs and videos are integrated throughout each section to provide the user with detailed step-by-step visual instruction and demonstration.
The educational and microsurgical app follows the fundamental principals and teachings from Dr. Philip S. Li and Dr. Mark Barone’s “Using the ShangRing for Male Circumcision: An Illustrated Guide for Service Providers” from the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University and the Population Council in New York, NY.
