This is a COMPLETELY FREE baby tracker. It is the only one in the world with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads. This app helps you monitor your baby's development. It can help you follow the baby's sleep patterns: how long they sleep and whether they are keeping to schedule. Breast feeding: how much and how often your baby eats. Pumping schedule. Diaper changes. Also, you can keep a record of your baby's health: temperature, illnesses, vaccinations and doctor's visits. Add notes on your baby's mood and important events, such as: first words, first laugh, etc. Record changes in weight, length and head size. This app is a life saver. As a father of a 5 day old, I feel compelled to quickly jump in and give my feedback to new parents. We have the Nanit Pro camera, the Owlet Smart Sock and while they’re able to respectively track sleep and activities, they are severely lacking in My Baby’s ability to do it quickly and provide a means to view trends and timeline, allowing you to compare day to day on your activities. My wife and I were adamant we were missing naps, changings and feedings - but since we were so adamant to note each activity down as it happened, being able to see the trends - all together or individually and compare up to three days at a time provided us the assurance we were consistent, in time and not missing meals (maybe one or two). Just get the app, it’s free and it’s great. The one thing missing - and that I would pay for - is ability to add a parent to collaborate - this is the one feature Nanit does triumph in, allowing both parents to track, note and update activities in real time.

This app is absolutely incredible. I just had a baby this week and realized with the exhaustion I could barely remember when I pumped, when she fed, how much she had, and what her resulting diapers were like. I wanted to use an app and was frustrated that they all had in-app purchases, but this one is FREE and it's so much better than I could have expected!! I was worried a free app would be outdated or clunky but this is totally up to date, and the best part is that I can sync it with my husband's app and we can both log everything in our little girl's "journal" so the other one can see it. I'm sure it will be incredibly useful when we get her to the pediatrician! Bottom line, this app is incredible especially in the newborn trenches and I'm beyond grateful that we don’t have to pay for it!

Easy to use, reduced some of our first time parenting stress

I was initially resistant to using a tracking app because I thought it would increase my overall stress burden. The interface is easy to use and chart things with a quick touch. I particularly like the Timer function (especially for sleeping!) and the Journal function for quickly eyeballing specific daily data (how many naps, how many diapers). It would be nice if there was a calculator function that would automatically tally the data (total hours slept in a day for example). I have not tried any other apps, so I don’t have anything to compare it to but this works well for my needs.

If you need a baby tracking app primarily to keep track of breastfeeding, do not get this app. In that area it does almost nothing right. First of all, it does not keep track of which breast you started on. I’ve used other apps in which when you start a new feeding, it tells you what your last starting side was so you can easily rotate. There is nothing of the sort in this app. Best I can do is write it in the notes, but even then I have to go check the last feeding before I can get started on the next. The next problem I noticed is actually quite dangerous. On the main screen it tells you how long it’s been since the last feeding, except it calculates it from the END of said feeding. So since my 2-day-old baby still takes an hour to complete a feeding, if I went based on the time since the last feeding that the app gives me I would actually be waiting a whole hour longer than I should based on how any doctor ever would recommend I time feedings. This obviously could cause poor weight gain in baby and even mess up my chances of getting a good supply built up. Along those same lines, the “journal” of all the past feeding entries tells you how long each feeding lasted, but rather than adding the time nursed on the right to the time nursed on the left, the app simply measures from the time you started the feeding til the time you stopped. Which means any burping, changing, waking baby back up, latching difficulties on the second side, etc. you do between sides is counted as feeding time. This could easily make it seem like your baby fed for a very significant amount of time longer than he actually did. And the last complaint is more of an inconvenience, but the button to start tracking a new feeding is a teeny tiny plus sign, and there is no way to edit a past feeding if you used the timer in case you were to forget to hit stop, so it’s not user friendly like at all. Also the graphs of past feedings is barely comprehensible. I am shocked at how bad this app is.
