Edit July 13, 2019 - So, I’m in love with the new Music feature! It was exactly what I was looking for and I love all the choices. The one thing that REALLY irritates me is; if you are using the camera IN the app, you better make sure no one calls you and you have all your alarms off. If someone calls me, my alarm goes off, or I accidentally hit Siri it not only stops your recording but DELETES EVERYTHING you just recorded. I’ve lost so much footage this way - I like to use the camera in the app instead of the iPhone one because it zooms out further. I have to text people telling them not to call if I’m about to make a video. If it stops the recording it should still have what you’ve done so far instead of erasing everything. Original Review - That I’ve played around with, to this date. With the endless choices of filters and effects you can get as creative as you’d like! It’s simple to use but still has advanced tools for editing the colour and tone of your video. The option to save as a single video or as stories makes it easy for you to upload on any platform. The only thing that I wish was included would be a feature to add music. You can do so in IG but if your video is split into multiple stories it’s difficult to get the music to flow right. This is a hard thing to get the rights for though, so I understand why it’s not an option.

I never write reviews for apps, ever. But I needed to share how I felt after using this app for almost 2 hours. I needed an app to use to edit TikToks. I make art so I just needed an editing app simple enough to chop up short clips of me drawing plus a little extra to add some pizzazz✨ After fiddling around and shortening videos, i found the app felt disorganized and hard to manage while editing. Splitting clips didn’t seem as easy as it looked. Sometimes I would try to split the selected clip but nothing would happen… At some point I finally got to perfect video length. I added some text in the beginning of the video. Then I wanted to try some of the filters. After a few minutes I applied the one I liked. I went back to watch through my video but I wasn’t sure if the filter actually applied. I then tapped the undo button and all my edits throughout the entire process all vanished. Can’t believe I wasted 2hr of editing for that to happen. Don’t even know if there’s a redo button.(edit: THERE IS NO REDO BUTTON!!! I cut down one of my clips and wanted to see what happens when I pressed undo. Once I did there was no option to redo. What kind of video editing software doesn’t have a redo???😓🤬😭) I appreciate how simplistic this app is and the many features it offers. But I honestly prefer the in-app editing feature within TikTok over Filmm. I’ll definitely give this app another go so I can finish my video, but I would love to seem some improvement down the line. 🫡

It all began with color story and from that app blossomed an infatuation that never waned. Few apps get paid for and auto renewed without thought this is one that I wouldn’t live without. A clean interface, modern, simple, elegant and intuitive - the developers have a clear focus on what their image is and a grasp on what their concept is both of which translates into an experience that is in line with what I’m assuming is their primary target audience: modern women that are social media savvy, technology aware, artistic, with a strong identity and a voice to share their world. Filters are wonderfully done BUT CURVES...omg thank you for that - video editing apps are either lacking, too busy, complicated, ugly...useless time consuming unappealing junk. Not Filmm ♥️. Curated looks are a simple click, tweak and done way of finishing a polished video in no time at all. Filters that satisfy all need and if they don’t hit the right tone then adjust away - omg curves 🙏. Also there is chroma for green screen lovers. DRM Free Music list, ability to add your own, cut to beat etc...for great soundtracks. Ok. Here’s my wish list 1 Facetune video allows users to fine tune ones face. Let’s be real, sometimes the ‘lighting’ just isn’t right and those dark circles under my eyes have ruined more than it’s fair share of great videos 😒. One app is better than two. 2. Spot editing to enhance portions of a video. 3 slower slow would be great and if only one wish then this would be it ♥️Thank you 🙏 love all the apps and own them all with pleasure.

First day and already I love it! I like the option to quick switch between filters and effects beses on a circle or diamond. The ability to stack and layer edits is so amazing for photos and video. I can’t wait for the option to edit specific layers. The option to import/export from A Color Story would be very beneficial. Also, the option to “continue previous edit” in case you close the app and decide to resume later would be amazing. The colors and filters are beautiful, so much so that I plan on using this app for all of my media; for IG especially; stories and posts alike! Thank you for creating this app. The creative possibilities are endless!! I look forward to future updates and add-ons. I recommend to everyone.
