Reading the Horatio Hornblower books, and I love the way the game and strategy behind the play is described. Once you understand the rules, you can start to employ strategies to draw out players cards and carry the rubber! Great app for learning the concept of trick-taking games.

Works fine. I had tried some other apps that seemed buggy, but I like this one. I payed the $2 to remove the adds, but that was worth it. The computer playing the partner works fine.

I’m really enjoying this game. It is clean and simple with no bells and whistles to distract from the game play. I paid to remove the ads, and I can play continuously for as long as I want. Well done!

Thanks for playing Classic Whist — here's what's new in this update: - Four-color deck: clearer suits at a glance with four suit colors. - Mobile cards on all devices: thinner cards with larger numbers, now available everywhere. - New card faces: fresh designs with improved contrast to accommodate the other changes. - AutoPlay: plays a card for you when there's only one legal move (and on the final trick). - Claim: claim the remaining tricks when all remaining cards are guaranteed winners. - Show starting hands: shows the starting hands of all players at the end of each round.
