I played this game all day for 4 days straight. Taking time off to sleep of course. I thought if I played long enough with nothing I would slowly build up something. NOPE! If the game is not being used non-stop it shuts down. But I was there. I was waiting for money to build up so I could play. I gave it 96 hours and I still did not have enough to upgrade a tree being as it was like 6 million to upgrade. So I deleted the game and am now heading out to delete empire city 2 (same kind of game) I have already deleted aquatic city for the same reason. I live on 800p/m SSI. So, moral of the story is, if no money, they don’t want u to play their game. I have asked them a number of times to lower prices. I even gave them an economics lesson and they do not listen to an economics major. Too bad so sad for them. I talked my son into not playing their game cause of how stupidity they R. I’m not rich because I fell off a mountain at 20 and broke my back. So I am now handicapped. But oh well, their loss..
Amazing, Not a Money Pit
youve been bamboozled
This game really caught me off guard. I thought it would be some boring sandbox game with almost nothing to do, but I was way wrong. Unlike most city building games where you are often forced down a linear path of unlocking buildings in a boring grind, this game allows you to buy things you have not yet unlocked with gold, which is a rare currency. Most people who read that are thinking “Dang, this game looked cool, too bad it’s a money pit”, but that is NOT the case. The developers actually avoided that route and allowed you to earn gold very easily through achievements, or, if you want, you can watch an advertisement. Personally, I have not watched any ads and still have been able to unlock the buildings I want without spending real money or watching ads. Also, the achievements actually give you a lot of gold for how easy they are to complete. This game is great, but I have a couple nitpicks: 1. There is no day/night cycle. Personally, I think the devs are really missing out on this one because I think a sprawling Roman Empire would look amazing at night time.2. Too little landscaping options. I’m specifically talking about the texture changes you can use such as turning the grass to sand and what not. I think there is not enough variety and options for this. For example maybe the devs could add some dirt so you can make dirt roads and stuff, that would be pretty cool in my opinion.Well, that’s the end of my review, I hope the devs take these “nitpicks” into account, as these could really make the game better I think.

Thank you for your great review and feedback. The game was only released in May so is a very new game. We intend to update the game regularly with new buildings and features. We appreciate your suggestions and will bear them in mind.
Best Game ever to come to Apple store

I’ve been looking for building games that are specifically Roman era and I finally found the best one. It doesn’t take too long to build up the buildings, and I love that you can pick from multiple designs. I do wish we can do more with the military aspect(maybe for future update) Like defending territories from raids, and the guard towers are actual working buildings. it would be cool to also raise up an army to capture neighboring preset village or something like that. Anyways these are just some thoughts I had while playing the game. Cant wait for future updates so glad I found this one.

I have played all four of the games: Designer City, Designer City 2, Space City and Empire City. I can’t tell which is my favorite. Building is easy. You can play these games without spending real money. You can reach high levels. I have many times. I wish there was another theme city! I don’t care for Merge City!
