SafeStatus is a mobile application that integrates seamlessly with Castatus, an emergency mass communication software platform. Organizations can use Castatus to communicate with their community during emergencies and other critical events. Castatus enables an organization to create and manage communications via multiple channels including text message, email, voice and popular social channels. In addition, enhanced functionality is provided within the SafeStatus application including the following: • Request help • Report critical incidents • Chat with peers and the organization • Report safe or not-safe status • Provide emergency contacts that can be notified in the event of an emergency • Interact with a critical live event by uploading comments, photos, and video as well as staying up-to-date with the latest information • Receive critical communications from the organization • View important documents SafeStatus interactions appear in real-time within the Castatus Crisis Manager to those tasked with managing critical events within the organization.

SafeStatus and FirstResponse are such great apps for our business. We had only the very basic safety protocols set up in our office before this. The best feature of these apps are that they are incredibly user friendly and so quick to send out communication to entire staff or individuals. Admins/casters can also see *in real time* the safe status of their staff members, and view their pinged location after messaging.You can report an emergency and automatically call 9-1-1 and any emergency contacts you add. You can send chat, video, and pictures. All extremely helpful in emergency situations. Users also get notified thru multiple avenues (phone, text, email, and the app), which is really helpful in the event that someone uninstalled the app or missed a push notification. I really hope we see this get used in more businesses and eventually government/public facilities like schools. Being the worry wart that I am, this app makes me feel calmer and gives me more control in an emergency. AMAZING app, y’all!
