The History feature has been re-architected for improved performance and responsiveness by caching previously downloaded data. In addition, the app will now cache new days of history data on your device, and will upload new history to the cloud when an internet connection is available. This means that you can be offline for extended periods of time, and new history data will be automatically saved to the cloud once you have an internet connection again. The History feature will now also display the partially-completed history for the current day so you can now see pressure and altitude history right up to the current time. This version adds the ability to switch between displaying altitude-corrected pressure most commonly used for tracking weather-related changes (i.e., what you typically see in weather reports), and absolute pressure which is also sometimes referred to as station pressure. Absolute pressure is simply the air pressure reported by your device’s air pressure sensor. This can be useful for various scenarios such as migraine tracking where absolute pressure - the actual air pressure impacting the body - may be more informative than altitude-adjusted pressure which only shows pressure and pressure changes due to the effects of weather. When the app is displaying absolute pressure, it will be indicated with an “ABS” icon. This applies to widgets, Watch complications, and the history screen as well. You can switch between station pressure and absolute pressure using a new station pressure setting on the options screen in the “Display preferences” section. You can also switch between the two modes on the pressure display screen by tapping on the small barometer dial under the graph when displaying altitude-adjusted pressure, or tapping on the “ABS” icon when displaying absolute pressure. The app also has a number of minor UI improvements such as larger fonts for displaying the start/end dates and displayed time scale under the graph using symbols to indicate the scale range instead of “displayed time”. This version also has a number of bug fixes and internal improvements.

Added new option to receive weather notifications when a condition is no longer active. Fixed issue with weather forecast notifications sometimes not being sent. Various minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Fixed bug with 1-,3-, and graph-scale barometric pressure change values not being displayed correctly on the Watch barometer screen with non-English units.

Fixed issue with duplication annotations in the BaroMap feature. Fixed an assortment of misspellings/typos in the the app's help and dialogue screens.

Bug fix for location-based features preference not being set to the correct default value.

Upgraded the barometer-based forecast to use the famous Zambretti Forecaster algorithm. Made enhancements to make background updates even more robust. Added internal enhancements to allow gracefully "riding through" periods of time when both GPS and the OS-altimeter are unavailable or inaccurate. Added iPad support. The iPhone app will now automatically stop background activity if you manually dismiss the Live Activity widget by swiping left; this will reduce battery consumption. Fixed an issue that caused singe taps and long presses to initially set the interactive cursor position slightly offset from the tip of your finger. Added details to the online on how to use the interactive feature of the barometer and altimeter graphs. Added a dedicated wind measurement screen to the Watch to make it easier to see the results. Added an option to the Watch to turn off the weather screen.

Fixed remaining issues with the app's Live Activity feature. Fixed a related issue on the Watch that caused background operation to continue when not desired. Reconfigure the Watch's background operation option to be easier to use and made it distinct from the related Live Activity feature on the iPhone app. Fixed issue with resetting altimeter stats on the iPhone and Watch altimeter screens. Updated the app to reflect latest NOAA API changes so that the app can access weather station data again. Revised the "Live features" section in the settings and options screen to simplify use of the iOS Live Activity feature, and added a dedicated "Continuous background operation" mode with the ability to maintain the reference altitude manually for Premium Features subscribers.

Fixed issue with the 'close' buttons on the METAR and TAF info popups not responding to taps.

Added new installation sequence to clearly explain to new users the permissions that the app needs to work along with information about the app's data privacy policy. This update also includes minor bug fixes.

Added a new weather-centric Lock Screen widget, added heat index and wind chill notifications, added buttons to the weather info to be able to see raw META and TAF weather station info, and incorporated bug fixes including a fix for a notification badge count issue.

Fixed an issue with the app not updating in the background in certain cases. Added a major new feature that lets you enable notifications for the ICAO weather station closest to your location. The new notifications settings are available in the Notifications section on the options and settings screen. You can get more info on the new features by tapping on the "What's new" button at the bottom of the options and settings screen.

Optimized graph scaling behavior so that the vertical scale is adjusted based on the displayed data rather than all of the available data when a preferred vertical scale is specified. Bug fix for delay when refreshing the weather data via double-tap. Optimized BaroMap and weather update behavior for limited-connectivity situations.

Added capability to enter reference altitude manually if it can't be obtained automatically, and display option to keep the screen on for extended use.

Fixed issue with wind speed units not being displayed correctly in widgets. Internal optimizations to increase reference altitude acquisition accuracy.

Fixed bug with incorrect help message being displayed for some features. Changed Live Activities layout so that the Dynamic Island info doesn't obscure the system time.

Improved NMEA support and added a new NMEA discovery mode to assist initial setup. Added meters-per-second as a wind unit option. Changed the behavior of the real-time wind mini-graph to display current wind conditions once the initial wind speed analysis is finished. Fixed bug with corner and one-line complications not displaying correctly on the Watch without the Premium Features subscription. Along with other UI enhancements, improved the ease of use when adjusting altitude-related values on the Watch and changing the displayed scale.

The Settings screen has been reorganized for ease of use. Premium Features subscribers can now adjust values for barometric pressure alerts based on the pressure change measured over three hours. Added selectable Celsius/Fahrenheit temperature units allowing overriding the default region-based setting. For Premium Features subscribers, this version adds an experimental NMEA 0183 option allowing Alti-Barometer Pro to wirelessly update the boat's information display with the app's barometric pressure readings. The realtime sensor screen now includes a 'Pressure feels like' calculation that shows you altitude equivalent your body is experiencing (for example, in a pressurized aircraft cabin). The sensor-based wind speed estimator has been upgraded with second-generation algorithms for improved accuracy. This release also includes bug fixes and internal improvements to optimize overall performance.
