So first off whenever you go to open the app, click on tune the loading animation stays up indefinitely until you navigate until another part of the app, such as clicking on a calibration to program that calibration. The next thing is that swiping right to rename or left to delete totally does nothing. It does not function at all. The next thing is you better not even think about closing the app after you get done with a smart tune because if you do, you’re in for quite a surprise such as your ECM being locked up and you can’t get the app or the tuner to actually put a default Calibration on or cancel out of the smart process. It just leave your motorcycle in the limbo mode where the entire dash lights of warnings stays illuminated only by a stroke of luck may you be able to get it to back to normal. The next part of this ingenious operation is the fact of their only being one very specific step-by-step process to program your motorcycle and good luck doing it without the battery tender connected. My motorcycle went in to have it tested for a bad battery. Of course the Harley machine came back and said it was good but yet as soon as you turn on the motorcycle and go to tune it without the tender plugged in, it complains about a low battery operation on a regular basis you can see the voltmeter on the motorcycle jump up and down from just over 14 V to maybe 14.6 V while riding.

Connected to bluetooth just fine but as others have said, constantly says can not tune ecm. Have to try four or five times before it actually works. Yes all my settings are correct on my phone, Lock Screen disabled, all other Bluetooth devices disabled, strong WiFi (and the app still says poor internet connection) again try to smart tune and it took three times to get it to work and then it was an absolute disaster loading that program! Error codes I couldn’t clear because it said no error codes, however dash showed error codes! When you goto swipe right or left to rename or delete a smart tune it does nothing! Now when I go into tune I get the spinning wheel of death and “loading” that doesn’t ever stop unless you click on a different area in the app! I called Harley customer service and took an hour out of my day to be told “we have no trained technicians on staff” and told to goto dealer! Well the technicians at Harley have zero ideas and say the only thing they know is to delete app and reinstall! Well I have done that and unpaired the BCI and repaired four times and not fixing any problem! What a joke! This is the new Harley Davidson? What have I done???

Absolute crap don’t waste your time nor your money on this junk for an app..freezes up locks up will not save a recording for smart tune and shuts completely down in the middle of recording for a tune….downloaded it and uninstalled it FOUR TIMES as per the dealerships instructions because there is not a single fix for any of the problems …I bought the blue tooth tuner wasn’t told ya needed both tuners to get any wide band configurations absolutely no tune options for anything other than screaming chicken applications that goes for the wide band as well ….so for 1200 dollars I have to tuners that I cannot properly configure a tune to and an app that is just as worthless…just should have spent 1000 bought another thundermax tuner and would have been done …thanks for nothing and truly proving that I have had my expectations set way to high…won’t happen again count on that.

Sooooo few things : using on a CVO ST 2024 1) the app is extremely sensitive to battery voltage . If using the stock battery on a newer model it must be on a battery tender and fully charged up otherwise it’s likely you will get an error as it will not allow the programming to execute this is to save you bricking the module failing while writing . I’ve since replaced my battery with a lithium problem solved no need for tender .2) Bluetooth connection issues . When you start the app don’t connect to the device from the time or gauges screen. Go to settings - Bluetooth - connect from there . The problem I was having when trying to view gauges it would crash the app each time . This method allows it to work so some work still needs to be done on the app.3) peeps saying this is trash or infective are incorrect . Unit works well within epa guidelines Harley has to follow . Bike was noticeably smoother and more responsive with the initial time and especially after an autotune session . Seems like it’s modifying VE tables the most from reviewing the data . The decel popping is gone and according to dyno testing adds about 10whp and torque . Not bad for 400 bucks .4) this is the only approved way to tune and keep your warranty. Some will bring up the magnuson act but yea … good luck with that one there is a million ways around this and trust me your dealer and Harley know them all…. Caveat emptor
