After the last update the GPS doesn’t track correctly. Instead of snapping to roads, it draws a straight line from point A to point B. Now to make matters worse, after I finish a ride and I click “finish,” it will not record the ride at all sometimes. I tried contacting support. They asked me to re-install. That didn’t work. Then they asked me to look at my settings and turn off the “off-road” toggle switch. It was already off but I toggled it on then back off. That didn’t work. At this point I’m done with the app. I like the freedom of riding without all the technology hassles. See ya!

After trying to seriously use the boom navigation and this app. at the recent regional Curves to Cores HOG rally, I find the app has good points and bad points (proprietary induced restrictions) with the route planning and navigation aspect being close to the bad end of things. I have experimented with the app since it was published and find the ride planning and navigation lacking and still difficult to use, even on my 2019 Ultra Limited BoomBox Nav system, although I understand there is a point where the bike Nav system is separate from the app., neither the app ( via PC or phone) or BoomBox Nav system are user friendly with a few exceptions and trying to map out a ride is frustrating at best. I tried use my phone and Maps with Car-play (a great feature, if access able) which is user friendly however the phone doesn’t fit in the phone cubby. I purchased the HD phone mount at the HOG rally thinking it would work but phone falls out of that. So far, not a fan! The BoomBox nav system, prompts, screen info and features compared to Maps, Google, Garmin etc is lacking.

While the app offers some utility, particularly in tracking H.O.G. points, the overall user experience falls short — especially for a brand with Harley-Davidson’s legacy. The mapping functionality is unreliable at best. Users are unable to search routes effectively, and pre-mapped rides often fail to record mileage, which defeats the purpose for those participating in mileage-based challenges.The Ride Search feature is especially frustrating — searching for H.O.G. rides frequently results in endless loading with no results returned. This makes it nearly impossible to explore or join rides, a core feature that should be front and center in the user journey.There’s also no intuitive way to save or log completed rides directly to challenges, and tracking feels inconsistent. Location services and tracking data lack the polish you’d expect in a modern app, particularly one serving a highly engaged riding community.The only consistent positive is the ability to monitor your rewards points, though even that interface could benefit from refinement.Bottom line: The app has potential but needs significant investment in performance, usability, and reliability to meet the expectations of serious riders. Harley-Davidson would benefit from prioritizing a full overhaul or partnering with a proven navigation and event platform to meet community needs.

I thought I would take advantage of the free membership with the purchase of my new bike. I do like the fact I can track my rides with the app. It has been very nice as have gone some places and just made some turns that I would like to repeat. The issue I’ve had is the app keeps telling me that the bike has low voltage. Took bike into dealer to have charging system looked at. Turns out it is fine, but still get low voltage warnings even after 200 mile ride. Dealer called Harley to find out what the issue could be. After several hours of trouble shooting still no idea what is causing the problem showing low voltage. In fact battery was showing very good voltage. Harley’s response is they don’t know what the parameters are to trigger the warning. It would be nice to be notified of a problem if there was a problem but repeated warnings for no problem is irritating. The fact no one seems to have an answer is even more frustrating
