Whether you're looking to see who's free, what's going on, or simply want to share your vibe, Ping makes it easy. We put statuses on the map, giving you a live snapshot of what's happening with your friends. No more endless scrolling or planning – just real updates, in real-time.
And just to be clear: we’re definitely not another social media app. We're a location-based social utility app (what a mouthful, how about just a social map).
HOW WE DO IT
• Map Statuses – our map shows you statuses from friends. Whether it's yoga in the park, a heated debate over pizza, or vibing with their plant collection, it's all mapped out and always changing.
• Friend Alerts – get notified when your besties are nearby or making moves. Link up when they’re close, or keep tabs from afar.
• Pinging – a throwback that repurposing because, why not? RIP Blackberry pings, and say hello to our quick, fun pings you can send to easily meet up with friends.
I like how this app doesn’t try to keep me using it all the time. It’s really just about helping me meet up with friends in person. Nearby notifications are super fun especially since I live in a big city. I get them all the time and even if it doesn’t lead to a hang out, it’s still nice to know I’m around friends. The UI is a little busy at times, but that’s my only real gripe with the app. Overall I’ve loved the new stuff they’ve built.

This app is really enjoyable to be able to share your status with others either on campus or off! It’s also another way to connect with others and be able to see what their up to as well! It reminds me a lot of Snapchat location back in high school! Thank you so much to the creators! 🤩✨

Finally an app that isn’t vying for my attention. I love using location apps to see which of my friends are around me, and this does such a great job of letting us know. I just wish my friend had it the other day when apparently she was at the coffee house next to my house!

Pretty cool I can see my friends on a map and control how accurate my location is. I use find my all the time and this app makes it so I don’t have to text my friends constantly to see what they’re doing.
