I’m not sure why I tried to reinstall it I tried logging out nothing works. How the heck do you not have the best app ever with all the cash y’all make? I’m confused as to how all the sudden I can’t do certain things when I could before. Maybe it’s user error maybe it’s maker error but whatever it is, I wish y’all would check out and possibly update your app. User friendlier where all the features actually work would be amazing!

Jackpot amount, cash option amount, or next draw dates are often inaccurate, differing depending on which view of the game you select within the app. Look at the Pick 6 as of this writing. The info on the main screen seems to match what’s shown on the NJ Lottery’s website. (This apparently is a big accomplishment for the NJ Lottery). But click on the Pick 6 window? Now the cash option amount is lower. Ok, so let’s go to the Draw Games section and select Pick 6 from there. Now the jackpot is lower despite the cash option being the same as on the last screen. And the next draw date is actually the date of the last drawing. Oh, you say, this particular screen just didn’t refresh. Sorry, nope. Cause it shows the correct winning numbers and date from the most recent draw. It’s showing yesterday’s date for both the current winning numbers AND the next draw date. Really?Further, as with the prior (and, unbelievably, actually less lame) version of this app, there is no easy method of refreshing results so you know you are getting the latest updated info. Almost all other apps like this let you drag down on the screen or use another method to refresh, and will give visual feedback showing it’s worked. Why not here? You have to manually close the app and reopen it, and still you’re not really sure you’re getting current and accurate info (see problems described above). Further still, the ticket checker / barcode scanner is waaaay slower to produce results than in the last app and at times just hangs and does nothing — as if it would be happy to try to continue scanning into infinity with no answer or prompt to retry. Seriously, don’t these people test this stuff?

This app is almost a necessary evil if you play the NJ lottery in any way. For a while now, the licensing for whatever scanning software the app uses to scan scratch off tickets has expired and I guess nobody cares enough to keep the app usable for lottery customers. There isn’t a way in the app to manually enter the ticket information either) at least I haven’t located a way in the app). Honestly it’s a blessing in disguise. If the state of NJ doesn’t care enough to fix a problem with their app, then maybe I don’t need to be contributing any more money towards the NJ lottery…it’s just a thought. But like everything else government related, fixes move at slower than a glacial pace.

This app needs some serious TLC. Sometimes the app works perfectly but most of the time it does not and it’s very frustrating. The app sometimes closes on its own for no reason, the scanner option freezes or doesn’t scan, and once you click on a game for the info, you have to go all the way back to the home page in order to access the next game. If the freezing, not loading and closing out for no reason was addressed, this app would be a 5 star and have more options than any other NJ lottery app!
