"My family loves it! They always use the app when we go on car rides or when they're bored at home. It's good to keep their imaginations going with reading. I totally recommend." - Parent @Gonzachr006
“When it comes to screen time, my son is allowed to use Skybrary anytime. I’ve never seen him concentrate so much and he asks so many interesting questions afterwards. I love it.” -ProudDad66
“I've been checking in with my teachers, and they are all very appreciative of Skybrary! I've been told it's a really big hit with the parents as well, having their children another reading option. The parents are always asking to send more books home (which is tough sometimes) and this has been a game changer in that regard. Teachers are using it as an enrichment tool as well." - Clever admin at North Tippah School District, MS
Building on the mission of the long-running TV show, this marvelous app encourages kids to read with a huge assortment of books and video clips. Fun categories like Awesome People and Animal Kingdom—and recommendations based on children’s interests—ensure they’ll find something they love. Parents can use the app to promote reading at home, and it offers teachers a vast library curated by a trusted source, making it easy to align with Common Core State Standards.
One of My Kids’ Favorites!

My kids love this app. My younger one loves listening to stories read to him and my older loves navigating the app on her own to find stories to read or videos to watch. We are a screen conscious family and this is one of the few apps I feel really good about them using because I feel like they’re really learning while using it (and love that there aren’t ads popping up distracting them and might have them trying to buy something)!

Blank Page issue???
JediAnn Solo
We had this app some time ago and my little one LOVED it. We had to briefly cancel our subscription for financial reasons, but she kept asking for it back. We were finally able to download it again just recently but we found that every time she opened a book, the left page would be blank. When flipping to the next page, you can briefly see what’s supposed to be there, but then it just blinks away. Everything else works fine— the sounds, the interactivity, the animations (if they happen on the blank page, they pop in and go away when the animation finishes), but half the book being unreadable unless read-aloud is not good. My child still likes the app and just chooses to listen, but I’m disappointed that this issue is happening on a paid subscription and on the same tablet that was working just fine last year.

The app equivalent of Hotel California.

This app is great and my younger son loved it for a while. Then my kids stopped using it as much and I attempted to cancel the subscription. GOOD LUCK! You can start a trial any time you like, but you will never leave. When I attempt to cancel under my AppleID at the apple store, there is no “cancel subscription” button. When I attempt to cancel on the app itself, it takes me to the Apple store where, again, there is no “cancel subscription” button. If I go to the website, it tells me I don’t even have an account and to “start a free trial!” HA! It will never be free. I thought I had received help with this a while ago, but just today noticed I’ve been being charged for MONTHS. MANY, MANY months. I’ve contacted support from both Apple and Skybrary, I’ll just have to see how long it takes. Too bad, it’s an otherwise engaging reading app for kids, but this is very frustrating.
Developer Response
We are so sorry to hear your frustration. We are definitely working on ensuring our communication is better when it comes to cancellation. As with all apps, cancellation happens on your own App Store dashboard (not within our app itself). If there is any other feedback you would like to share with us or if you need any further help, please email us at skybrary@rif.org.
