I love my cocktails! I was gifted this by a former partner who felt I was sometimes “over the limit.” I was, but this was during Covid and I wasn’t driving anywhere and besides, if you weren’t day-drinking, you weren’t paying attention! Now I use it to make smart choices after being out with friends. I don’t have anyone who can be a DD, so I use this to decide if I need to get a rideshare home or if it’s safe to drive. They have recently revamped the app, so I’m happy to have my de ice operational again. (For a few months, it did not function at all and I was very upset.) The new version is much faster and cleaner, but they lost the battery level indicator at some point. Every so often, I’ll just have to put it on to charge and hope the battery is good next time. I know if I take it inside, it’s weeks before it gets back into the car console. I wish they had a public beta. It would be nice to never be without use of my machine again. And I could remind them of the need for battery level.

I began using the device and really liked it. It was easy, saved the info, provided what I needed. I purchased the App, pay a monthly subscription fee, and used it often. I purchased to record, show the pattern and provide information to dispute false accusations in a custody case. I used it regularly with most consistent uses the weeks my children were home. After more than 5 weeks of use… I blew in the device and the result was recorded and verified. 2 hrs later, after meeting with an atty who was planning to receive the info that day; it was gone! The app, the info, the crucial information… GONE! Now it’s seems I was dishonest, provided false statements re using device & then I am now being ordered to pay hundreds of dollars and required to take a blood test. The best part, I was paying $80 per month for the service. We called customer service and was told too bad. I am starting over to show from now until my trial date but loosing that info did damage I can’t begin to explain. I won’t recommend, but I’m stuck at this point. For casual use, it’s great. Don’t depend on it to actually provide anything beyond the day u use it, and have a backup plan for keeping track.

This is fun to use at home to see exactly how well my body processes alcohol. I love putting those double shots of whiskey back, and I always seem to hold my drink above the rest of them in parties as well. However, now that I can actually see where I’m at in the ‘real’ world... I should probably start admitting that I’m more inebriated than what I truthfully feel that I am. I was stupid to trust my feelings in the past (now all those drives I took, etc... I am filled with regrets even though nothing happened). Also this is a MUST HAVE FOR PARTYING AND BUSINESS TRIPS. This is hilarious to use with friends and coworkers and after all the laughs your group tends to make better decisions without needing to be stick in the mud in the night. Using the BACTrack breathalyzer must have saved lives by now. I’m a huge heavyweight when it comes to handling many, MANY drinks, but this breathalyzer doesn’t lie, I’m more human than everyone else or even I think I am. Drink responsibly folks. Cheers! 🥃

When I first opened, I had to read the manual to understand switching between the app mode and the manual mode. Not sure why it isn’t just one mode together. Additionally, the app doesn’t seem to be optimized for the newest iPhones. I have an iPhone 11 and when I get it connected to the app there is an option at the top to “swipe to test your friends” but it’s sorta hidden under the top notch and no amount of swiping works. Overall looks like a clean app, just needs some optimizing and I love the device!
