Based on the wildly popular Mr Word, the Junior version is ideal for beginners, younger players or if English is not your first language, as it features a reduced dictionary of 20,000 words. The slightly smaller board size also makes it even easier to play as it is fully optimised for all iOS devices: iPhone 4/5, iPod Touch, iPad and iPad Mini.
Enter your name to begin. In the Lite version, you are playing against Mr Word himself. Featuring Genuine People Personality, Mr Word will really give you a run for your money.
Mr Word will:
- match his game to your skill level
- choose words that a real human would choose, limited in this version to a 20,000 word vocabulary perfect for beginners and younger players
- respond to your move in seconds - great for rapid fire play
If you make Mr Word think for longer than a few seconds, you are doing really well!
Mr Word will even "spellcheck" your words as you lay them, so you know in advance whether the word you are playing is acceptable.
Stuck for a word? Try the Help! button, a Mr Word Junior exclusive. Mr Word will help you by calculating the best possible word on your behalf. Be warned though, there is a limit of 3 helps per game.
Now with 2 player mode and for the exclusive Define button - instantly brings up word definitions for all words played. In-built dictionary of 20,000 acceptable words, no network access required. Features definitions from Webster's Dictionary and Wiktionary.org so you can learn new words and their meanings every time you play.

It’s is one of the most fun game ever it has no adds and you do not have to Wi-Fi to play. You can learn words in a fun special way either against your friend, family, or 1 player which is v.s. The game. It’s so much fun to play a game that if you are having trouble on you can just press help, if you need to know what the word means you can just press define, and it will save your spot when you leave the game, and when you come back, if you don’t wanna play the game anymore, just press quit. My kid was playing the game one player… In the one player mode you play against a robot. The robot is clearly not filtered for the “Junior” game. My kid made the word ‘Koa’ and the robot then played the word “C0ck” (all the words in double quotes are the robots words filtered and the single ones are my kid’s words). Next my kid made ‘Axe’ and ‘Ex’… You can then see where the robot went from there! The robot made the word “s*x” in a kids game!!! They need to have words for the bot using an API I would presume, but at least filter it or remove bad words from the API from playing! This is the first time this has happened… The craziest thing is: that this game has filtered words you can’t play yet, they allow “s*x”!! The game also allows random words that are made up, can be confused with other words that are real while the played one isn’t, old words that no one ever uses, and many more!! I would say that this game is more for adults, that is who I and should be recommending it to! Please take this to consideration DON’T PLAY ALONE UNLESS YOU ARE 18+ or if your kid has had “the talk” at a school and has parents permission or have one over watching the game!!

I must tell you, I am 80 years old, and ever since I began doing scrabble against the iPad, my mental function has improved immensely.. I am sharper, more focused and have increased my memory ability tenfold. It is amazing. I play it every day and have made my own dictionary of new words. Go go people try it. I assure you, you won't regret the time and effort you put into it when you notice the results.

This app keeps crashing, it returns to the homepage when I play a word or place a letter tile. I have tried everything I know how to fix the problem but it will not help it. Everything on my end is up to date. Maybe this app needs updating. I am playing this game on my iPad.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
