I really do love this OF app! It is so easy to do everything - no real complaints from me. One “wish” though - would it somehow be possible to have the ability to switch the outfits around in the monthly calendar? While I know that following the calendar as-is works for so many, it would be nice to have the ability to easily switch things around for those of us who have a more varied daily routine.Would there possibly be a way to take the 30 outfits for a given month and place them onto the calendar on days where they are most appropriate for our individual life? For example, maybe “outfit 1” works best for me to wear on the 12th of the given month so I could put that outfit on the calendar for the day it works best for me to wear it. Ladies could still post a pic of what they are wearing on social media each day if they chose, but just say, “I’m wearing Outfit #(whatever) today because…..”App is great, but that’s my dream!!

I paid for a one month subscription accidentally, like many did here (thought I cancelled, guess it was more complicated than they let on) - beware before downloading because it’s not easy to understand how to cancel. Honestly, the idea is wonderful. I struggle with leveraging my closet properly and this has helped me put together a few outfits. But the app is too problematic to justify the monthly cost. Annoying issues like when i select certain items in “closet staples” the entire list suddenly disappears. Random freezing / blanking. I try to upload a photo of my outfit and the app stops working. When I’m chatting with the AI assistant, I can’t navigate away or I’ll lose the whole conversation and have to start over. Also, it seems to want to generate the same outfits that can be much too warm for my Southern California weather, even though I have allowed access to location and weather. I filled out a quiz at the start, thinking the app would tailor its recommendations to my answers, but that definitely didn’t happen. This app needs a lot more refinement before I can justify $20/month or $99/year. I’ll get what I can out of it for this first month but won’t continue after that. I would suggest new users give it a try for a week but be sure to cancel after the trial and take what learnings it gives you from that.

I’ve used several outfit apps over the years, most of which I stop using within a week or so. They have tended to be a lot of work: uploading photos of your clothes or finding a similar photo on line to build your closet in the app. I’ve used Outfit Formulas for about two months now. It’s not based strictly on what you have but rather suggests a basic outfit for each day, and you use similar items you may have. There are suggestions each day for “dressing up” or dressing down” the outfit. Also, for each individual piece in the day’s formula, the app provides suggested substitutes, so that you are likely to have something you can use from your closet. What I like best about it is that it’s gotten me to use many pieces in my closet that I liked but rarely wore, as I’d gotten into a rut in terms of dressing each day. I’m using clothing that had long been neglected and liking it! I recommend this app, particularly if you already have clothes you like but find that you don’t wear them often and need inspiration.

Like many women, I thought I had a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear! What really was happening was indecision paralysis and not knowing how to put my clothes together in a coherent and stylish way! *Enter Outfit Formula* The formulas are based off of a foundation of staple pieces most people have in their closest, and it’s up to you if you want to add to it. The clothing suggestions are budget friendly and stylish, if you need guidance on what to buy! Also love that the formulas are flexible, able to be dressed up for work or down for playing with the kids. I’m wearing more pieces from my closet than I have in a long time and always feel put together now. Best part is, there’s a Facebook community that you have access to where you can get feedback and encouragement on your looks. I’ve loved seeing other people’s take on the daily outfit and have learned a lot! Couldn’t recommend this app more!
