The flashcard application is both comprehensive and highly effective, boasting an English pronunciation accuracy exceeding 99%. While the existing features are robust, the addition of images for more words and expressions could enhance its utility further. I appreciate that the issue from the previous update has been resolved; however, it was inconvenient to be without access for a day and a half during this period

Examples with the words don’t use the words

When learning a new word for the first time, the app (helpfully) tries to have an example sentence where you would use the word. Herein lies the problem: the word never actually gets used! It seems as if the phrase is typed in with one language and using an online translator translated to the language that you’re working with. Although the word you’re learning may also mean “farewell”, the translator uses a different word completely. Additionally, when clicking on a word in the sentence that you don’t know to (potentially) add to your learning list, it sometimes has the wrong definition. “Ich hasse Spinnen” should translate to “I hate spiders”, but when you tap on “Spinnen”, the app translates it to “to spin”, so adding the vocab word ends up not working at all. Difficult to justify paying for so far, although the app is very promising!

Hi Caleb! Thank you for the thorough review. Two days ago we released a big update on the translations. It includes improving the quality of examples, definitions and different word meanings. We hope that you can see an improvement and maybe give a small bump up in the rating :)We are working hard on making sure that the error rate in transaltions is coming to zero and will be releasing further updates on this in the next few weeks.Thank you for saying that the app is promising! Means that we are getting something right and we promise to get better.

Estonian Translations

I’ve been using the app for a couple of days now, and while I find it really fun and useful, I’ve already noticed some of the translations and photos are off for Estonian. I can’t speak for the accuracy of other languages, but a good example of this is when teaching the word apelsin in Estonian, meaning orange as in the fruit, they’re teaching it is as if it meant the colour orange, with the provided photo as a man in an orange suit with no fruit to be seen.This isn’t the only mistake I’ve seen on this app so far, and it can be really misleading if a beginner uses this without having any prior knowledge to know the differences. I’d only recommend this app if you have a basic grasp of tour target language already.

I’ve been using the app for a couple of days now, and while I find it really fun and useful, I’ve already noticed some of the translations and photos are off for Estonian. Overall, I appreciate the program, but I have to deduct one star for each problem I found. Firstly, there's no help section, which makes it difficult for me to learn how to use the program. I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually, but the absence of help makes it harder. My biggest concern is that the words in the list are not arranged in alphabetical order. This isn't an issue with 5 cards, but with more than 50, it becomes problematic as I can't quickly find a word. In one deck I downloaded there were incorrect definitions. Because of these issue, and the lack of support after the last update that led me to reinstall the program and resulted in losing sound, I have decided to delete it

There is a sort button in the word list that will allow you to organize your words by alphabetical order, which should make it easier to find words quickly.
