I have to say that the ring seems to be working quite well. The USB C wireless charging case is a huge plus over the super cheap rings and even better than the standard Oura ring. The charger can be finicky at times since it's wireless. The ring is a bit thick and can feel bulky. The sizing is a little small compared to regular sizing so you may have to size up. I'd love to try the slim and test it but I bought the regular ring instead not knowing better. Where the app doesn't do well is calculating sleep latency. Then on top of that it says that you can jump from deep too light sleep and back in just minutes. This happens in all sleep stages. The algorithm needs to fix the jumping back and forth in sleep stages.

This app and ring is not worth the price you will pay for it. I am on my 7th wearable product testing them out etc this is actually my 5th ring I have tried and I am going back to a previous device. This ring constantly loses connection does not accurately track. I have used it for months in hopes that app updates will fix basic connection issues. Additionally when I purchase it said auto detection of workouts was a feature that still has not been delivered everything is walking. I get asked did you workout my HR is over 117 for a prolonged period yes I did indeed workout but it auto detects walking not a CrossFit workout ( and I get it it doesn’t have to say CrossFit but the point is there) this should be better. Alerts don’t even come through that the battery is low amor below a threshold. This is basic stuff that every other ring or wearable delivers. QALO cannot deliver that on a consistent level. I also began to realize that the app and ring didn’t cost me that much va other wearables and I am getting I guess exactly what I paid for by the app which is nothing. In this day and age it should not be this hard. QALO stick to making rubber rings because at least those were quality.

Fine for sleep and temperature tracking only

I really wanted to like the QALO QRNT Slim Ring but the tech and app aren’t ready for real workouts. I primarily bought it for sleep and temperature monitoring to help track my cycle and, for that purpose, it’s decent. But for workouts it’s pretty disappointing. Major issues: • You have to manually start and stop workouts in the app, and every time it has to re-sync with the ring, which can take a minute or more. This makes it impractical for real training. • Auto workout detection is unreliable. During a typical Orangetheory or CrossFit session, it might only capture random 10-minute segments of a full hour workout. • The app frequently logs me out completely, forcing me to log back in and re-set up the device. • Workout and recovery insights are extremely basic and often misleading. The “Q score” algorithm makes very little sense for active people. My score is often higher on days I don’t work out. For example, after completing a half marathon, my vitality score was lower than the following rest day when I did literally nothing. Sleep scoring is also rigid to the point of being unrealistic: • Anything under 7 hours is flagged as low sleep (even by a minute). • Anything over 8 hours is flagged as oversleeping. After a half marathon, I slept 9.5 hours (which is appropriate recovery) and the app penalized me for “too much sleep.” That tells me the system isn’t designed for athletes or highly active users. Bottom line: This ring works fine as a sleep and temperature tracker, but it’s not ready for serious fitness or training. If you do structured workouts, intervals, or functional fitness, you’ll likely find it frustrating. I’d only recommend this to someone who primarily wants passive health tracking – not performance or recovery insights.

I want to love this product, but there are some take aways that detract from the user experience. I’ve owned this product for almost 8 months now and I wear it everyday. It’s a great replacement for someone who does not want to rely on a smartwatch 24/7. It fits very well, and holds up to everyday wear. I appreciate that they are trying to make this product look and feel worth the money. They have made great quality of life improvements for activity tracking, etc. I will continue to wear it everyday regardless of the flaws.I dislike the random disconnections of the ring from the app that take numerous resets of the app to finally sync up. There is also a point at least once a week where I will be logged out of my account in the app and need to repair my ring. I am also a little disappointed that after I purchased this, they decided to come out with a “slim” version with more tech, so this feels outdated already. I wish I knew about that sooner and I would have opted for the newer model. Overall I am pleased with the ring and look forward for what’s to come.
