This update introduces Definitions, a powerful new way to customize how you explore BLE peripherals. You can now export a JSON definition of any device—including its services, characteristics, and descriptors—edit it externally to add friendly names, and import it back into the app. When you reconnect to peripherals matching that definition, Silvertooth Scanner displays your custom names throughout the UI, making complex BLE devices far easier to navigate. We’ve also refreshed the UX with a new hamburger menu and slide-out navigation to make Definitions and future tools easier to access. This feature has been invaluable in real-world BLE development workflows, and now it’s fully integrated into Silvertooth Scanner.
