Needs improvements

Level-Headed
The app has some nice features like the challenges and the ability to find ride routes in different locations. In my opinion, however, the algorithms might be a bit buggy in that the ride elevation gains come nowhere close to what is calculated by the Strava and Ride with GPS apps, and the mileage comes nowhere close to the other two apps or that which is recorded by my car’s speedometer (Trek Ride Club seems to inflate these statistics somewhat). Additionally, once entered in the Bike Garage data cannot be edited or deleted, at least on an iPhone. Finally, I can see no ability to recall previous rides once they have been uploaded. Hopefully, Trek’s IT people will address these issues in the near future.

I would give 5 stars as I use for my Verve 3 Gen 5 and my FX-1S. However, it keeps dimming after 10 seconds. I know that it’s a safety and power saver feature but it would be nice to have a choice. I found a workaround and that is to put the app in ride mode but not start. Then pull down the control center and brighten the display to full. Close that and tap run when ready to ride. It will stay on but only until you touch the screen. Then it reverts.UPDATE:The developer has since added a switch to correct this. I noticed that this has been added to the settings page recently. However, there are two switches, one to enable auto dim and a second switch to leave the screen permanently on, which seems to me, redundant. Just one switch to disable auto-dim is needed. If you leave both to the ON position, the screen will still dim. In any event, thanks for fixing this. I can now get a text or a call without having the screen revert to darkness after 10 seconds!

Hey there! You can keep the screen on by disabling auto-dim -- when you're on the ride screen, tap the sliders in the lower right corner and toggle auto-dim screen to off. Hope this helps!

Great concept but I think it was launched too early. My wife and I went out for a ride (in the pouring rain) for the May 4th challenge using our Garmin watches. Got home and our watches wouldn’t upload to the ride app. Super bummer and we weren’t gonna go out again. I don’t want to run my Garmin and the ride app at the same time. The reason for cycling computer and watches is so you don’t burn your phone battery. I emailed ride club support and no response still. Sorry but going to delete for now.

First time using this app and it failed miserably. I was about 9 miles in my ride and the app was running in the background. I open it up and it completely lost the 9 miles I had biked, it showed the elapsed time but the miles I accrued were gone. This is especially disheartening because when I reopened the app I clicked continue ride so I’m not sure why my progress was just erased… if this isn’t fixed I will not use the app. Can you also please add a way to add rides from apple health or some other way I don’t use any of the connected apps it lists.
