I'm a teacher, and this app is a hit in our earth science unit. The kids are completely engaged, bringing in rocks from home to scan. The encyclopedia entries are detailed enough for learning and written in an accessible way.

The rarity and value estimator gives me a clear and realistic starting point. While it's not a professional appraisal, it perfectly separates ordinary stones from those worth a second look by an expert.
