I’ve always been consistent with working out but struggled to program for myself—nothing I tried really stuck. This app finally changed that. The design is clean, the workouts are straightforward, and I love being able to track progress. The small weekly progressions keep me motivated and make it easy to stay on track.

CoachOS charges $30/month but doesn’t include basic features you’d expect from any free workout logger: plate math, warm-up sets, rest timers. Those are table stakes.The AI coaching is also frustrating. I follow the prescribed sets and reps, then get told I “missed reps” because last week I did more. Why is the AI prescribing me fewer reps and then nagging me for following its own plan? That makes no sense. If I’m supposed to just look at my history and beat it each time, what value is the “coach” actually adding?It feels like the app is just guiding you through a fixed template with some LLM commentary layered on top. I don’t know what happens when the program ends, if the AI will progress me or just recycle the same thing. That uncertainty makes it hard to justify sticking around another month.For the price, you’d be better off using a free app with export options and running your data through ChatGPT. You’d get more flexibility, smarter recommendations, and the core logging features that are missing here.Bottom line: not worth $30/month in its current state.

Such a useful app, it tells me exactly what to do everyday. i also have a shoulder injury and my workouts are built around that. Already seeing progress after 2 weeks

Has the most in depth questions that I’ve seen in any app which make it feel truly customized for me. Things like injuries, goals, and nutrition. Can’t wait to start and learn from the GOAT.
