This app has quite literally brought me back into the world of reading. 📚 First of all, I now read with genuine excitement, because something from the book might actually come alive around me and that feels like real magic. ✨I even have a personal story: once, I was completely absorbed in Stephen King’s novel about the assassination of President Kennedy I devoured it while in Italy, and right after finishing it I traveled to Dallas for the very first time. Yet when I arrived, I already felt like I knew every corner of the city. I could picture the buildings, I knew exactly what would be around the bend, and I could trace, almost meter by meter, how the president’s motorcade moved on that fateful day. It gave me this incredible sense of thrilling familiarity, as if I had literally stepped into the book I had just finished.This app gives me that same feeling. It makes me want to pick up one book after another, which has done wonders for me: I spend less time scrolling through useless short videos, I feel better overall, and my literacy improves as we all know, people who read a lot are simply more articulate and knowledgeable. Reading broadens my horizons, and this app has made it effortless and joyful again.In short: it’s absolutely fantastic. For every chapter in a book the app provides a subtle video and audio backdrop the defense immersion without pulling focus away from the text. At a time when we binge watch an entire Netflix series, but struggle to get through a good book AmbientBooks hits a rare sweet spot. After a while, it feels less like you are reading and more like you are inside a story. It is essentially an imaginary fireplace for books - present calming and atmospheric. I’m genuinely excited for more titles to release. If this is the direction reading apps are going I already know that I will be reading more!

I’m a big fan of Fourth Wing, so it’s kinda unreal seeing it fully animated. The app brings the entire book to life with video, which is such a unique way to experience a story I already love.
