When your internet goes out or you're off grid, you may think of the experience as going back to the dinosaur age. The Offline App flips this on its head, bringing alien technology to provide a live connection to the world without internet, using data available out of thin air. It feels like magic, but it's really just physics.
With The Offline App, you can:
Watch live TV streams
Listen to, and record, live digital radio streams
Discover current temperature, wind speed, and humidity conditions, along with a multi-day weather forecast for your region
Discover your current altitude, barometric pressure, and water boiling point
Utilize an offline map with overlays of:
Live plane signals from the airspace around you
A live weather radar
...all without internet.
Requirements:
The Offline Server software is required for
-Offline map functionality
-Digital radio and weather radar functionality
-Weather data
dump1090 server software is required for:
-Displaying planes
At least 1 HDHomeRun device is required for:
-Watching live TV streams and displaying guide data*
*An HDHomeRun FLEX 4K DEV upgrade is required for ATSC 3.0 guide data at the moment
Recommended but not necessary:
-An OpenSpeedTest server for HTTP latency and speed tests
