The Essential Toolbox for the Canal Mariner!
Canal Guide is a navigational and touring tool for use by mariners actively navigating or planning a trip on New York's canal system. The Champlain Canal is being used as a pilot before expanding the service to other waterways. The app features the most accurate data available with regards to buoys, beacons, and the preferred navigation channel (based on the most recent bathymetric soundings and imagery). It also features a "navigation mode" which allows mariners to actively follow their proximities to canal features and the deepest water. Shore amenities are highlighted throughout the route, placing emphasis on points where boaters can dock and reach shore.
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
