Failure #1. On startup the app says it is updating firmware to 1.2.4 but then on the main screen, the app reports firmware version 1.2.1. So-did it update and fail to increment the version, or did it fail to update? Failure #2. Manual page 9 says W1-W2 staging delay can be changed to 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes. Tech support said this is available in the ADVANCED menu. But there is NO place to set staging delay! Failure #3. Should have a documented OFF setting (no timed stage up ever) because that is an allowed OEM setting. Failure #4. The app has not been updated for a year. They sell thousands of these motors and UIs, right? So how can I be the only person noticing trouble?

Had no information about how to connect to the WiFi anywhere online or on original packaging for the device. I just found the password but why did I need to find it in the reviews for the app. This needs to be printed on the interface or in the paperwork in the packaging.

I downloaded this for the motor cross reference, which works very sporadically. I plugged in multiple motor model numbers from Regal/Genteq/Century as well as those of competitors. A few recent models resulted in a hit. But the vast majority of SKUs resulted in ‘no result’. So how to find a present-day replacement for a old, burnt-out motor? You cannot. Hilariously, a use guide for evergreen motors from Regal Beloit (titled “form g0075e”, published July 2019) includes Regal Beloit motor model numbers like 5SME39HXL3001, 5SME39HL0252, 5SME39HXL3001, etc. that do not show up in this app. Why then have a cross-reference? Present-day models that burn out are likely covered by a warranty. The value in a cross reference is being able to replace older models with newer, equivalent ones. Too bad! This could have been an excellent resource for techs in the field. Especially if it allowed them to also look up airspeed / programming codes to replace OEM gear. However, I doubt that RB will bite it’s (now mostly former) customers hands even if most have switched to Broad Ocean by now.

This requires a password to connect to wifi, but the password is not in the book or anywhere in the app.
