The Leaf Spy Pro application allows anyone with a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle, an iOS 7.1+ device and the LELink Bluetooth 4.x LE OBDII adapter (recommended) or a WiFi OBDII adapter the ability to monitor their battery and other vehicle information normally visible only to the dealer. Support for English and Japanese language.
Note: The iPhone 4 and early iPads (2nd Gen) do NOT support Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

First time leaving an app review but felt compelled to share my experience. The user interface is a bit difficult to figure out, I think that why it’s rated close to 3.5 stars, but it works. This is a great tool if you want to know more about your battery health but also like me you have DTCs (aka MIL/check engine light) Saved me a trip to the dealer and I was able to fix my no engine start issue. Even if you’re not a DIY person, getting the codes and using some AI you can at least have a good conversation with your vehicle service center. Finding the DTC was challenging, I had to ask an AI bot for help. Final note, yes you must have a Bluetooth OBD II scanner for this to work. Make sure you perform a search to confirm compatibility with the OBD II reader and this app.

This tool paid for itself the day it arrived. I disabled the backup warning (it had to go) and low speed warning noises. The tire pressure monitor (TPM) is very helpful. It took about 15 mins to get the TPM assigned to the correct corner once I understood the GUI. The assigning process could be much more simple, but it does work fine. I like having the live data from the TPMs. Very useful battery monitoring tools that take some time to understand the data your getting. I found some of the change options under the service screen (if used incorrectly) detriment. The warnings are there and would recommend users heed them or at least proceed with carefully.

This is a great app and I use it just about every time I drive my car.The but is.......I moved to a new area with varied terrain and seasonal temperatures. The miles/kWh isn’t as accurate as I would like when discovering new routes to my destinations. I think it’s because the kWh units are too small (the degraded battery in my 2011 holds less than 14kWh. Instead, I think a GIDs/Mile feature would allow better assessment of various routes, and sections of routes, as I have 200+- of those when starting out. Perhaps a real-time GIDs/Mile reading as well as an average reading would be helpful. Anyway, thanks for the great app!

This app is an incredible tool allowing owners to see many aspects of their Leaf vehicle parameters. Including the High Voltage battery information and overall health. Low voltage battery is also available. I use it to reduce my range anxiety on road trips since it will show be the real battery State of Charge (SOC) and an estimated DTE ( Distance to Empty). I set mine to show the estimated range until real 1% SOC. I use this instead of relying on the dashboard range, which is more conservative. It also allows you to see and reset DTCs ( Diagnostic Trouble Codes).
- Supports the Dropbox refresh token feature. Once Dropbox permission is given the app will automatically request a new token after the current one has expired.
- The Read DTC function now has expanded DTC descriptions for 2011-2025 model year Leafs.
- Added support for the following new OBDII adapters

- The TPMS function will now auto save the current TPMS IDs before they are cleared when using the Learn function. If the Learn function fails the previous values can now be restored. This also applies if loading new TPMS IDs. The previous ones will be saved in case they need to be restored.
- The Settings/Dropbox panel now displays Dropbox activity in the bottom area.
- The Console screen has a bottom window which displays information about detected OBD2 BLE adapters. This can help in providing information to support future BLE OBD2 adapters.
