The app is great! Easy to use, never bored of the workouts. Many are extremely challenging. However, I started using the app and bought the rope system almost 2 years ago when the gyms were shut down due to the pandemic. Several friends and I began using the app to jump together virtually. What motivation and accountability this allowed. I went from having three friends jump to introducing nearly 100 people to this wonderful world of jumping rope for fitness! We would all sign up for the challenges and complete them together using technology each day. Even if you had the lite version, you were able to complete the 21-day challenges, which were reduced to 14-day challenges and now Crossrope has gotten besides themselves by limiting the challenges to the first few days to those who don’t have the premium version of the app. By jumping together, SEVERAL of those who jump with me have gone on to buy the rope system, but they don’t want or can’t afford the premium version of the app. It’s disheartening that Crossrope has not only changed this option, but increased the cost of the rope system which already gives people sticker shock. I’m very disappointed. We’re just a bunch of people who want to challenge and motivate each other…no one is getting paid for this EXCEPT CROSSROPE! What gives?

Hi there! I am sorry about the issue! Please update your app to version 5.0.7 and the issue should be resolved. Thanks! :)
Lite Version should be called “Trial Version”

I’ll start with what bothers me. Instead of seeing more luxuries added to the paid version, I’m seeing features of the lite version being tethered and pulled behind the paywall. That’s not “inviting users to upgrade”. That’s more like choking them out. I’ve read older reviews about how people were unhappy about the features behind the paywall when Premium was rolled out and the developer team responded with “Don’t worry, you can still do many workouts and challenges.” Not surprisingly, the challenges have now been throttled down to only 5 days. Where I come from, we call that lip service. I mean, I bought 4 ropes and a mat from you guys and this is how y’all say thank you? I used to be able to restart challenges. I like cycling between the Get Lean and Get Strong challenges. It would ask if I would like to reset the challenge when I would redo a workout but I don’t see that anymore. Let me guess, is that feature behind the paywall now, too? Onto the good. After I gained my covid 19 (19 lbs, that is) this app played a huge role in helping lose 45 pounds! Being able to schedule workouts and reminders really helped me be consistent. I still jump after nearly two years. I’ve seen the workouts get more and more streamlined. The app plays nice with other media apps running. The streaks and accomplishments are really fun to achieve as well! Thank you for that. If y’all could please tell me where that option to reset the challenges went that would be so great. Xoxo
Awesome! Just a request..
:( booh!
I have been using the Crossrope app for a couple of weeks now. The Amp handles take jump rope to a new level. Not having to think or count intervals is very nice. My favorite workouts are the Benchmark and Free jump. I am not a fan of following a premade workout, that isn't mine. This brings me to my request:Being a fan of Benchmark I like to change out my ropes frequently for different workouts. This creates havoc in my Apple app with starting and stopping exercises frequently. If you allowed the users to “create workouts” I think this would solve the problem. You could set the ropes you want to use, indicate rest periods or interval workouts like push-ups or planks, and specify jumping styles. This would reduce the start and stops of free jump/benchmark and contain all rope changes in a single workout. This is the only thing that keeps me from giving the Crossrope app a 5-star review. Outside of minor app enhancements, Crossrope is perfect. Thanks for making jump rope fun!

I loved this app and crossrope. At this point I’ve bought 5+ crossrope sets plus a training rope. But the balance between free user and paid user has gotten WORSE with time. I was hoping they’d re-balance a bit but nope. The app architecture is incredibly crowded at this point. And outside of a few work outs a week and a beginner challenge or two, everything is behind a pay wall. I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating that when the paid option first came out people were not happy initially but CR promised everyone on their FB community page that things would t change much for lite users. That has not been true and with time they continue to lock more and more behind the paywall to the point where the app really isn’t of much use to anyone who’s not paying. Even the heavy LE set workouts have been Locked behind a paywall outside of the first 5 workouts and they weren’t until recently. I bought that (expensive) set when the app was free, I’ve used them and that set of workouts a ton. Now I have to pay to use them?? Are you kidding me? Very slimy the way this is being done. It’s a shame because the initial balance between lite and membership was really good. I understand monetizing a bit, but this has gotten too pay heavy. I don’t want a membership, or a membership trial, I’d just like to at least get a lite challenge or two a month and maybe a couple more options for a regular workout throughout the week. I used to recommend them to everyone, I don’t do that anymore. I just recommend jumping rope and throwing in weights or body weight exercises. I really hope CR re-balances the app at some point because it was awesome, but it’s definitely not right now and only seems to get worse and worse.
