  • A game I’ve loved and played on/off for years

    retroverto

The only mobile game that has held my interest for over nearly a decade. Really satisfies the long term progression itch and there’s nothing else quite like the strategic 5-day team vs team matches (called “white stars”) out there. Great game for people who are fans of strategy, and the developer has been very principled about finding ways to generate revenue without micro transactions / pay to win / ads. I just wish content updates were more frequent.

  • Great game but one issue

    jdjdudjdhhhhhhhhhehjack

So I’m stuck on this one bit where the red star scanner cost 20,000 but my inventory space for the money can only get to 18,000 and I really gotta upgrade my planet, but still it’s not gonna let me upgrade them because I can’t get the money, but the main issue is when I tried to do the tutorial for the shipment relay it’s one button I had to press would make the whole game crashed for me and I tried to restart my electronic yet still it happened so please fix this bug. It is super annoying.

  • Excellent Game

This game is a very fun take on a strategy game. The developers did an incredible job of creating a game that does not pressure you to constantly be playing (great when you have a job, kids, etc) but also continues to slowly build over time in depth. Most mobile games that I’ve played start off exciting with all sorts of new content happening all over and then Peter off into a complete grind or repetitive pay-to-progress situation. Hades’ Star is different in that it starts off interesting- the first few milestones are a satisfying progression- but where the game truly shines is as you progress further and unlock the different red, white and blue star missions. Each of them is a distinctly different experience and all of the different modules present totally different but equally viable strategies for tackling each situation. The depth of the game is impressive, and it is exponentially more fun to experience as a group in a corporation. I am excited to see the game continue to be developed and expanded upon- it is a winning formula and I am completely hooked. Strategic thinking and patient, incremental upgrading is highly rewarded. May you create tremendous value for your interstellar corporation’s shareholders, travelers :)

  • Love this game

    Lostafinga

Fun space empire building game. Starts kinda slow but gets huge, deep. Challenges your mind. Colonize planets discovered in your star system. Build mining, transport, and battleships. There’s tons of tech to be discovered. Everything can be upgraded. Go on 3 types of missions. Red Stars are pve, single or multiplayer coop missions for artifacts which you need to unlock and upgrade tech. Blue Stars are short, pvp “last man standing” missions rewarding valuable resources. White Stars are epic 5v5 up to 20v20 5day slow paced events where 2 corporations duke it out for resources in one big star system. These missions are all about strategy, no PTW, which is important to me. I can’t stand the new ptw, in game purchase model that plagues games these days. You can get really creative using all the different tech you discover. Running shipments while trying to use the least amount of fuel is a fun challenge. The modules you can deck your ships out with offer plenty of strategy to figure out and employ. Your home is always safe, this game is not about attacking and taking others resources. It’s about slowly growing huge, efficient, smart, and powerful, in a great supportive gaming galaxy, especially enjoyed if you join a corporation. Word.

  • Simple but fun

I love the simplicity of this game. The galaxy is very detailed, while the ships look very simple. My biggest complaint is the rapidly increasing costs of upgrades. It takes quite a while to work up the tens of thousands of credits needed to start making serious progress, then as soon as you upgrade, the amount credits needed for the next level is staggering. The upgrade costs of basic, starting ships go from 10,000 to 60 or even 80,000 credits. If you have nothing else to do for hours upon hours of your life, this will fill in this gap. I can’t do this, a feature that allows you to earn credits offline is necessary. You can’t move the short range scanner to another sector, or break it down to get credits or materials back. It becomes useless after you’ve scanned everything around you. The next scanner is very pricey and comes with much more expensive scans, most of my time is spent transporting goods from planet to planet, just to work up enough credits to upgrade one item or build something new. If there was more variety, or the game had balanced progression to make it more interesting before spiking the prices, I’d probably keep it. As is, I may give it a few more days, if I’m unable to build something that drastically changes my experience, it’ll be off my phone.

  • Update was a big step backwards

    dusk dice

After all the updates I can never get more than last place in blue stars and barely get by in red stars. They took away all the good modules I got to and the ones that are left are nerfed to the point they’re pretty much useless(enrich only works on red and white stars, upload only works on white stars, genesis can only be used once on the whole star system for 24hr instead of one sector at a time for 24 hrs, genesis also doesn’t create enough hydrogen to be useful once every 24hrs, the stealth trade module has less time then the support module had, the repair drone does so much less repair to the point there’s no reason to even equip it especially compared to the repair support module). Wish they would go back or at least bring back all the old modules. I loved that when I started the game it was easy to get where I was and go at my own pace, and everything was doable, I lost as much as I won in blue stars (which made them worth playing) and I could get more than one planet’s artifacts even by myself (but now I struggle even if I have the help from people with much more powerful modules and ships than me). I can’t even get enough artifacts to use the red star life extender and still have enough to go home with (the hydrogen life extender made red stars more doable)
