Without even paying for it, this app happens to be the single most useful for building a portfolio of content to sustain a social media presence. After getting used to it, the app is incredibly simple and rather sensible in its execution, offering a more robust feature set than even VSCO, having features you don’t get even if you pay for it. The two have their separate individual strengths, but ultimately VSCO is like its own social media while SCRL helps you create excellent collections for Instagram posts. If it’s so good while it’s free, then why pay for it then? In short, times savings plus even more of those VSCO features (from what I’ve observed; I haven’t paid for it yet). Those free presets are useful but are few and far between, so if you don’t have the time, patience or creativity to design your posts yourself the premium presets are genuinely excellent and are incredibly tempting for when you don’t have time to design your own layout. It’s nice because you wouldn’t want your posts to have a “samey” feeling to them, so having such variety in presets when paying for premium on top of the time savings are the things that are tempting me. Excellent app.

The only real problem with this app is how terrible the video quality is after you save it to your device! It looks great in the app?! Once in your camera roll It’s the most shaky video I have ever seen! Worst quality video! Not useable! Is this something only free users experience and if you pay do you get better video?! This is something that should be addressed! Please fix up the video or make it clear that it improves video with purchase if that’s the case! Your watermark is on free video saves so you would think you would want good clear video in case people share it! From what I am gathering it doesn’t get better with purchase and you need to remove the feature and work on it before releasing it again! It’s useless! It makes you look bad when it’s otherwise a good app! For photos this app hasn’t done me wrong yet! If your using for just Instagram this is amazing. (when your not using a template I don’t like them nor do I recommend purchasing them individually) I wouldn’t recommend using it for any other platform or for sharing your Instagram post to Facebook because it’s not seamless! Definitely recommend for photographers on Instagram looking to tell a story, seamlessly share photos without cropping or even just to add a creative flair! Instagram only! 3 out of five stars due to the lack of usability with other apps, the templates you can purchase are awful/lacking and for the terrible quality video that’s UNUSABLE! I would change to 4 or 5 stars if there is a video fix and more/better template options!

EDIT X 2: just saw they’re going to discontinue the reels portion! Was really having fun with that portion and using it a ton. Any chance to keep at least some of the templates or tools?EDIT: they introduced a reels section and I’m excited to see how that grows! Can't wait for when you’re able to save them in the app to work on again like the carousels. Thanks for continuously improving this app! ————————- Been using this app for a really long time and the improvements over the years have been exceptional. The ONLY things I would even say this app needs is maybe a pride collection, the ability to adjust image dimensions when creating your own blank project and being able to pick up right where you left off in the album when you’re creating something. Currently it brings you the latest most recent folder and would love to have it pick up where I was in the camera roll. But other than that I love this app! Makes your posts look next level and I highly recommend!

It was fun at first but then suddenly it made my phone storage COMPLETELY FULL and i could not do anything or continue what I was creating until I deleted more stuff. I checked my storage and I hadn’t even had it for an hour and it already was taking up some of the MOST space on my phone???? Also suddenly ALL the notes in my notes app disappeared coincidentally while I was using this. I’m not sure if it’s even connected but it’s just v sus that I started having problems with my phone and storage and suddenly all my notes in my notes app disappears as I’m using it idk.I really really wanted to like it. And I did enjoy it because I’ve been really into making panorama instsgram collages lately because the other apps I have don’t have templates that fit the amount of photos I am trying to add, as well as the various vertical/horizontal photos to make a panorama post work in other apps and their templates. I started using photoshop on my computer and just manually making a panorama collage so this was suddenly a life and time saver in making it less of a hassle in creating what I’ve been doing on my computer. However, because of the issues I started having that I mentioned above and the amount of INSANE storage it takes up on my phone, I will have to unfortunately delete this.
