Horribly Addicting

Well my screen time is up 40% over the last week with 23 hours of it being Idle Distiller. That being said, I mostly leave it open whilst working and gaming and hit those bottle cap ads and seagull when they pop up. Regardless, I’m super hooked. I’ve seen the same ads a hundred times, but most of the time I’m not even watching. Hopefully the developer is getting lots of money from my relentless ad watching. I’m on season 13 or something and am glad to see there is much more to be had. The frequent side events are a great way to increase the longevity of the game because I focus on those instead of the main questline. I’ve found my new time waster! The min-maxer in me can’t stay away from ensuring I run every brewery as efficiently as possible.

I play this at work
It was fun at first. Didn’t care for the dialogue/story, frankly. It was an ok time waster. I originally liked playing the events, but that ultimately is why I uninstalled the game. I’m convinced the algorithm for what cards you get (in events) is fixed. When I needed “x” amount of cards to upgrade, I’d constantly get cards I already had. Oh, but I can purchase a gold crate (or whatever they were called) for 100 ice diamonds. Cool. Welp, pulled more cards in already had. Oh, out of ice diamonds? Why not purchase some for (a stupid amount of money imo) to get more? Or watch another ad (always the royal match ones for 30-50 seconds) for peanuts. Wow, cool. Btw, getting more ice diamonds ‘for free’ you have to complete tasks in the events to get them, so depending on the algorithm, good luck. I get most games are like this (meant to make money by ads and in game purchases) but it got old quick. Also, forget being in the top 50 for events unless you purchase the crates and happen to get lucky with cards. Also I had to turn the music off because no matter what event or anything you’re in, it was the SAME MUSIC 🤮. I also did a ‘free ice diamonds’ thing by downloading a game. I was supposed to get 150 free diamonds, but never got any even tho I completed the task and said so within the game. I played maybe 4-5 months. I’m good.

I play this at work

I don’t write reviews often, but I genuinely love this game. It’s constantly got me coming back to it to check every few hours or so to see if I’ve got enough money saved up for a big customer bonus. The base game can take a bit to go through each season, but the events that they have going on the side (which happen ALL the time, I don’t think I’ve ever gone more than 20ish minutes without one) help keep you more engaged. I’m also just a sucker for big numbers, so seeing the money count climb higher and higher always gets me in a good mood. Overall, get this game; it’s fun, the gameplay keeps itself fresh with events, and each season has a new story, so you get to look forward to that too.

The best game of 2021

This game helped me to realize my crippling alcohol dependency and how it was tearing my family apart bit by bit, I recently got into a car accident boozing and cruising while going 60 on the free way, it changed my life forever, while in the hospital this game came across my eyes which were almost gone, I downloaded it for my love of alcohol and sank over 400 dollars and lost the mortgage on my house to pay for this game. The best video game I have ever played I love my family!!!!
